Russia’s war on Ukraine. 30.11.25
Operational situation
On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attacked near Tetkino, Novyi Put, Bezsalivka, Andriivka, Kindrativka, Yunakivka, Oleksiivka.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attempted to advance toward the railway station in Harbuzivka, attacked near and inside Vovchansk and Vilcha, near Vovchanski Khutory, Synelnykove, Lyman, Kolodyazne, Dvorichanske.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked in eastern Vovchansk, near Khatnie.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces advanced north of Petropavlivka, attacked near Kruhlyakivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Novoplatonivka, Kolisnykivka, Shyikivka, Kopanky, Novoyehorivka, Novovodyane, Olhivka, Druzhelyubivka, Tverdokhlibove, Hrekivka, Kupyansk, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, in the direction of Stepove and Chervonyi Stav, attempted to enter Petropavlivka from the north, and fought for Borivska Andriivka.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked on the Hrekivka–Karpivka line.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces attempted to advance toward the northern outskirts of Dibrova, attacked near Lyman, Drobysheve, Korovyi Yar, Serednie, Novoselivka, Derylove, Yarova, Oleksandrivka, Karpivka, Stavky, Kolodyazi, Torske, Zarichne, Yampil, in the direction of Ozerne.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked on the Hrekivka–Karpivka line. Forested areas west and southwest of Zarichne impeded the enemy’s advance in this area.
On the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance along highway T0513 Siversk–Lyman north of Sviato-Pokrovske, attacked near and inside Siversk, near Dronivka, Zakitne, Platonivka, Serebrianka, Sviato-Pokrovske, Vasyukivka.
On the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces advanced in central Pleshchiivka, attempted to reach the southern outskirts of Kostyantynivka, advanced southwest of Pleshchiivka, east and south of Sofiivka, attacked near Chasiv Yar, Novomarkove, Stupochky, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Nelipivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, in the direction of Stepanivka, near Rusyn Yar, in the direction of Mykolaypillya, Sofiivka, and Volodymyrivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance on the northeastern outskirts of Pokrovsk, southeast of Bilytske, northwest of Svitle, attacked near Nove Shakhove, Shakhove, in the direction of Novyi Donbas, near Ivanivka, Maiak, Zaporizhzhia, Dorizhne, near and inside Pokrovsk itself, near Hryshyne, Rodynske, Bilytske, Fedorivka, Krasnyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, within Myrnohrad and Rivne, near Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske. The 51st Combined Arms Army repeatedly and unsuccessfully attempted to increase its efforts north of Novoekonomichne to continue the offensive in the Chervonyi Lyman–Hryshyne and Razyne–Rodynske directions. On the Sukhetske–Biletske direction, the enemy attempted to attack simultaneously with several assault groups, but only one broke through to the railway west of Zatyshok, where it was destroyed. On the Novotoretske–Boykivka, direction Russian command continues to hold the Nykanorivka–Dorizhne area. Today the enemy is able to operate on the 51st CAA bridgehead mostly with infantry, as attempts at mass use of armored vehicles on this direction mostly end with them being disabled or destroyed. Fighting continues in the area of Sofiivka and Shakhove. Russian command is accumulating assault infantry in the Shakhove area, actively attempting to bypass Sofiivka from the east, advancing from Volodymyrivka. The enemy conducts similar actions on the Rusyn Yar–Novopavlivka direction and is trying to break through to the approaches to Druzhkivka from the southwest, that is, to break through to the Novohryhorivka–Rayske–Torske–Novomykolayivka area. The enemy is forced to act exclusively along the eastern bank of the Kazennyi Torets River, effectively stopping on the Nove Shakhove–Shakhove line, failing to break through Shakhove to the northeast. Attacking from the Molodetske–Kotlyne line, the enemy is attempting to break through northward toward the Serhiivka area and reach the Pokrovsk–Pavlohrad road west of the city. Its separate infantry groups are already observed north of the “Kovalykha” agricultural firm and are advancing in the Udachne–Serhiivka direction. In Pokrovsk, fighting continues in the northern part of the city and in the industrial zone–Hryshyne direction.
Ukrainian Defense Forces struck Russian forces along highway E50 Pokrovsk–Pavlohrad and between Pokrovsk and Rivne, counterattacked near Hryshyne, and maintain control of areas within Pokrovsk. In the Rodynske area, Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked, again pushing enemy infantry to the southern outskirts of the village. In the Nove Shakhove area, Ukrainian Defense Forces pushed the enemy southeast of the village and forced small enemy infantry groups back eastward. Units of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces hold positions in Rivne and in the Svitle area, fight near Svobody Street on the northwestern outskirts of Pokrovsk, which currently preserves a certain chance for a successful withdrawal of Ukrainian Defense Forces units from Myrnohrad, but small enemy infantry groups have already broken through to the road to Hryshyne west of the intersection with the road to Dobropillya, consolidating on the southeastern outskirts of Hryshyne.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked near Novopavlivka, Novoserhiyivka, Novomykolayivka, Filiya, Yalta, Ivanivka, Zelenyi Hai, Tovste, Verbove, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Piddubne, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Voskresenka, Vorone, Stepove, Orestopil, Vyshneve, Zlahoda, Pryvillya, Yehorivka, Verbove, and attempted to advance on the Novooleksandrivka–Tykhe line.
On the Huliaypole direction, Russian forces advanced between Andriivka and Vidradne along highway T0401 Pokrovske–Huliaypole, east of Varvarivka, east and southeast of Huliaypole, attacked near Huliaypole, in the direction of Varvarivka, Dobropillya, near Zelenyi, Vidradne, Solodke, Pryvilne, Rybne, Krasnohirske, Zatyshshya.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Vidradne and on the Solodke–Rivnopillya line.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attacked near Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Stepove, Shcherbaky, Prymorske, Novoandriivka. The UAV reach line extends to Hryhorivka and Veselyanka.
On the Prymorske–Stepnohirsk direction, the advance slowed because of Ukrainian UAV strikes on the rear.
On the Prydniprovske Direction, Russian forces attacked near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
General conclusion:
Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to defend in Kharkiv Oblast, counterattack in the east of Vovchansk, and defend on the Kupyansk and Borova Directions.
Combat operations on the Kupyansk Direction remain highly dynamic. Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to detect and destroy infiltration attempts.
On the Sloviansk Direction, Russian forces are targeting Ukrainian crossings over the Siverskyi Donets River near Starodubivka, Mykolaivka, and Kryva Luka. The occupiers failed to break through Ukrainian positions west of Siversk from Dronivka and Platonivka.
The situation on the Pokrovsk and Huliaypole Directions remains extremely difficult.
Ukrainian Defense Forces completed their counter-operation in Dobropillya, which prevented the enemy from breaking through to Barvinkove and fully encircling the Ukrainian troops defending the fortress belt, although the enemy’s marine infantry formations continue attacks east and west of Dobropillya, and the 76th Air Assault Division continues attacks north of the city. The command of the enemy’s “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping continues attempts to completely push Ukrainian Defense Forces out of Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk, concentrating efforts in the central and western districts of Pokrovsk, in the southwest and northeast of the city, and in the direction of Myrnohrad.
On the Pokrovsk Direction, the brigades of the 51st Combined Arms Army are mostly exhausted, and the operational reserve of the enemy’s “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping has been committed to the operation on the Dobropillya Direction rather than the Kostyantynivka Direction, as was originally planned (the 155th and 336th Separate Marine Brigades operate west of the Kazennyi Torets River and in the direction of Novoekonomichne – Myrnohrad). At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces cannot dislodge the forces of the 51st Combined Arms Army from its bridgehead west of the Kazennyi Torets River, which allows the enemy to hold the flank of the encirclement of the entire defense area of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces around Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk and advance toward its rear. Combined with the advance of the 2nd and 41st Combined Arms Armies in Pokrovsk, west and northwest of it, this makes further prospects for the defense of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces in the Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad area illusory. Ukrainian Defense Forces will be forced to abandon both cities.
The most difficult situation for Ukrainian Defense Forces has developed in the area of Myrnohrad, where the 51st Combined Arms Army captured the southeastern part of the city (up to Sretenska Street), having previously reached the Balahan – Promin line, penetrated into the northern part of the city, advancing along the road from Novoekonomichne. The enemy broke through to the road intersection south of Rodynske and is entrenching there (this effectively means that the units of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces that are still defending Myrnohrad are encircled). The withdrawal of the Defense Forces’ units from the Myrnohrad area is possible only by breaking through to the main forces northwest of the city through the combat formations of the forward units of the enemy’s 51st Combined Arms Army, which have taken positions south of Chervonyi Lyman. The situation is complicated by the Defense Forces’ inability to stop the enemy advance south of Rodynske and toward Hryshyne, meaning the depth of the enemy’s flank envelopment of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps’ defense area is increasing.

The 1065th Artillery Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division operates on the Kherson Direction.
Possible operation situation developments:
The Defense Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry assesses that while the enemy is unlikely to capture all of Donetsk Oblast by the spring of 2026, it may reach the outskirts of Zaporizhzhia and the Sloviansk–Kramatorsk area by early winter. Additionally, if current fighting continues at the same pace, the enemy could possibly take control of Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka, and Kupyansk no earlier than year’s end.
On the Southern Slobozhanske Direction, the enemy will attempt to reach the Vovchansk – Staryi Saltiv road near Tsehelne and the highway to Rubizhne to disrupt the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ formations in the southern part of Vovchansk, significantly complicate their defense due to the considerable flank threat. The main forces of the 6th Combined Arms Army will advance from the Vovchansk–Bilyi Kolodyaz direction and from the bridgehead on the Oskil through Hryhorivka toward converging directions on Velykyi Burluk, pushing Ukrainian Defense Forces from all territory east of the Siverskyi Donets.
On the Lyman direction, the troops of the enemy’s 20th Combined Arms Army will advance toward Shandryholove–Novoselivka and Zelena Dolyna–Drobysheve and will push into the Novoselivka–Drobysheve–Pryshyb–Yarova area, while simultaneously expanding its tactical bridgehead on the Nitrius River near the village of Serednie, in order to block Lyman from the northwest and cut all communications running along the Siverskyi Donets River toward Izium. The enemy may attempt an immediate crossing of the Siverskyi Donets in the Zakytne–Dronivka area, which will complicate the further defense of Siversk.
The enemy’s “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping will attack in the directions of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka and Druzhkivka, attempting to cut the H20 highway Kostyantynivka–Sloviansk, which will complicate the logistics of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ 19th Army Corps in Kostyantynivka. The enemy will deliver concentric strikes simultaneously from Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, the Kleban-Byk Reservoir, and from the Poltavka–Yablunivka line.
The command of the “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping in order to prevent the withdrawal of elements of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad bridgehead, will make efforts to achieve a deeper envelopment of the western flank of the Pokrovsk defense area, attacking northward from the Udachne–Kotlyne line and attempting to break through to Hryshyne. The withdrawal of elements of Ukrainian Defense Forces from Myrnohrad toward the Dobropillya area could affect the overall situation on the 51st Combined Arms Army bridgehead west of the Kazennyi Torets River. To prevent a deterioration of the situation there, the enemy would hastily organize and conduct counterattacks in the areas of Ivanivka and Nove Shakhove.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the troops of the enemy’s “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping will attempt to envelop the Huliaypole defensive area of Ukrainian Defense Forces from the north and block its main lines of communication. The troops of the 36th Combined Arms Army and elements of the right flank of the 5th Combined Arms Army will be breaking through toward Pokrovske from the southeast. The enemy will attempt to reach the Haichul River and the Huliaypole–Pokrovske road on the Dobropillya–Varvarivka section.
On the Orikhiv direction, the “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will attempt to break through along the left bank of the Dnipro River from the Plavni – Kamianske line toward Stepnohirsk and from the Stepove – Mali Shcherbaky line in the northern direction aiming to reach close approaches to the city of Zaporizhzhia.
On the Prydniprovske direction, the command of the enemy’s “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will continue trying to take control of most of the island zone in the Dnipro delta in the direction of Kherson, will try to create a tactical bridgehead on the right bank, and to eliminate the tactical bridgeheads of the 30th Marine Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of the automobile and railway bridges near Antonivka.

Humanitarian + general:
The Russian Federation used 66 missiles, nearly 1,400 strike drones, and 1,100 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine this week, President Zelensky said.
From the evening of 29 November, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 122 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Herbera, and other types, about 75 of which were Shahed-type drones. As of 09:00, air defense had neutralized or suppressed 104 enemy UAVs. Ballistic missiles and 18 strike drones hit 13 locations, and debris fell in two more.
In Vyshhorod, Kyiv Oblast, during the enemy UAV attack on Saturday evening, powerful explosions occurred, an apartment building was damaged, and a private house was destroyed. One person was killed, and 19 people, including four children, were injured. It was later reported that Russian forces had used Shahed-type drones equipped with cluster munitions. Three drones dropped these munitions on the city and then struck residential buildings.
On the morning of 30 November, Russian forces attacked a car with a drone at the entrance to Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv Oblast, injuring the driver and passenger.
During the day on 30 November, the enemy struck civilian infrastructure in the Sumy community. A fire broke out after the strike. Residential areas in the Pishchanske starostate were also damaged. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.
Three people were injured by Russian shelling of the city of Kherson on the morning of 30 November. Russian forces shelled the city’s Dnipro district at about 06:30, 07:00, and 08:00. The first strike hit the grounds of a municipal enterprise, causing no casualties. The next two strikes injured three men. As of 17:30, seven civilians were known to have been injured in the attacks. All of them are residents of Kherson who came under drone strikes and artillery fire.
In the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a 32-year-old man was injured by Russian shelling; an agricultural enterprise, private houses, infrastructure, and vehicles were damaged.
In Mykolaiv Oblast, over the past day, the Russian army attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurubska communities eight times with FPV drones, damaging a house.
Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving a new national policy strategy of Russia until 2036, centered on the idea of the Russian Federation as a “state-civilization.” The Kremlin expects that by 2036, 95 percent of the population will identify as Russians, and positive views of interethnic relations will rise to 85 percent. A key part of the strategy is integrating the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. Russia plans a large-scale rollout of propaganda programs in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Oblasts to eliminate any expression of national identity, entrench the status of the Russian language, and strengthen an all-Russian civic identity.
