In the operational zone of the Ukrainian Operational Group of Forces (OTG) "Kharkiv" on the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched 6 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Kozacha Lopan, Tykhe, and Vovchansk.
In the "Khortytsia" Operational-Strategic Group of Forces (OSG) operational zone on the Kupyansk direction, 14 Russian attacks were recorded. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy assaults near Holubivka, Pishchane, Lozova, Kruhlyakivka, Novoosynove, Kolisnykivka, and Vyshneve. On the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 15 times, attempting to penetrate defenses near Novomlynsk, Kolisnykivka, Kruhlyakivka, Sienkove, and Lozova. On the Kramatorsk directions, the occupiers launched four attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the "Tavriya" OSG operational zone, on the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 46 attacks in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Pustynka, and Chumatske. On the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 67 attacks. The most intense enemy efforts to advance were observed near Berestky, Sontsivka, Novodmytrivka, Zoria, Kurakhove, Dalnie, Romanivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Hanivka. On the Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 assaults on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Trudove, Novosilka, and Makarivka, actively employing bomber aviation.
In the operational zone of "Odesa" OSG on the Prydniprovskyi direction, 4 unsuccessful attempts to displace Ukrainian Defense Forces from their positions ended in failure for the invaders.
General conclusion:
The situation on the Kurakhove and Vremivka directions for the “Tavriya” OSG is becoming critical:
The enemy has not succeeded in encircling and destroying “Tavriya” OSG units north of the Kurakhove Reservoir or near Uspenivka. However, they are achieving their objectives in these areas due to numerical superiority.
The enemy command in the theater of operations, utilizing forces from its “Tsentr (Center)”, “Yug (South)”, and “Vostok (East)” Operational Groupings, is attempting to encircle part of the “Tavriya” OSG forces near Kurakhove from the flanks.
The enemy aims to capture Kurakhove by breaking through with assault groupings toward Andriivka and Konstyantynopil to achieve significant operational-tactical gains.
“Tavriya” OSG is compelled to withdraw its defenses in front of the 39th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 68th Army Corps and the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army to avoid encirclement near Yelyzavetivka and Katerynivka. Consequently, the enemy has rapidly advanced along both banks of the Sukhyi Yaly River in a northwestern direction, capturing Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Illinka, and Romanivka. Despite the withdrawal of Ukrainian Defense Forces units from this area, the threat to the flanks of “Tavriya” OSG remains.
Russian forces are now threatening Ukrainian logistical routes supporting the defense of Velyka Novosilka. The enemy has advanced to within less than 3 km of the T0518 highway, which runs north from Velyka Novosilka to the H15 highway. Additionally, they are within 4 km of the O0510 highway, which runs west from Velyka Novosilka toward Huliaypole. Pressure on “Tavriya” OSG logistics could jeopardize the stability of Ukrainian defenses in Velyka Novosilka.
“Tavriya” OSG forces are facing clear challenges in maintaining combat effectiveness (personnel shortages, lack of equipment and ammunition, etc.), which is the primary reason for setbacks on the Kurakhove and Vremivka directions.
Russian troops are advancing toward Andriivka along the H15 highway and to the west of Kurakhove from the south, supporting the efforts of the “Tsentr (Center)” group to eliminate “Tavriya” OSG bridgeheads near Kurakhove and straighten the front line.
Russian forces are advancing west and southwest from Selydove along the Pustynka–Sontsivka line toward Andriivka to destroy the Ukrainian bridgehead north of Kurakhove and cut off Ukrainian retreat routes.
Approximately 60 of the 194 ballistic missiles that the Russian Armed Forces used against Ukraine in 2024 were North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):
There were 227 combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Kursk direction, "Siversk" OTG advanced northeast of Martynovka.
Russian forces advanced south of Zelionyi Put. Units of the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division are fighting for Daryino.
Battles continued near Nikolaevo-Daryino, Plekhovo, Sudzha, and Pogrebki.
On the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces advanced near Vovchansk and Tykhe but did not make any progress.
"Kharkiv" OTG counterattacked towards Zhuravliovka in Belgorod Oblast.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces advanced south of Lozova, are engaged in combat in Kopanky and Pershotravneve, and are advancing on the eastern outskirts of Kupyansk towards Borova. They attacked near Kindrashivka, Synkivka, Novomlynsk, Novoplatonivka, Lozova, Hlushkivka, Zahryzove, Kolisnykivka, Pishchane, Kruhlyakivka, Kopanky, and Zelenyi Hai.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces are attempting to advance towards the center of Terny, attacking near Druzhelyubivka, Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Novomykhailivka, Cherneshchyna, Tverdokhlibove, Torske, and Serebrianka.
On the Siversk direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked in the Bilohorivka area.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces advanced near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, attempting to bypass the refractory materials plant in the center of Chasiv Yar from the south.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces advanced near Toretsk but made no progress. They attacked in the areas of Dyliivka and Shcherbynivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces advanced south of Lysivka, west of Yuryivka, and reached Zhovte. They attacked in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Kruty Yar, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Pustynka, Zhovte, and Petrivka.
On the Kurakhove direction, forward units of the 90th Tank Division and the 51st Army of "Tsentr (Center)" Operational Grouping are completing the displacement of "Tavriya" OSG forces from the northern bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir. After the attacking from the east, elements of the 5th and 110th Motor Rifle Brigades of the 51st Army, supported by the 114th Motor Rifle Brigade, captured Berestky and broke through near Voznesenka to the southern bank of the Solonenka River, the question of retaining any territory on the northern bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir by Ukrainian Defense Forces is no longer relevant. Timely counterattacks by "Tavriya" OSG near Sontsivka improved the defense of Kurakhove, despite a phased withdrawal from the northern bank of the reservoir.
The 20th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Army of the enemy’s "Yug (South)" Operational Grouping and parts of the 51st Army, advancing on Kurakhove from the east and south, from the direction of Maksymilianivka and through Dalnie, will face increased difficulty in fully displacing Ukrainian Defense Forces from the southern bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir.
The enemy, using units of the 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Army and the 37th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 36th Army of "Vostok (East)" Operational Grouping reinforced by elements of the 40th Separate Marines Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, is attempting to break through from the south towards Trudove–Uspenivka and reach Konstyantynopolske. This accelerates the "Tavriya" OSG withdrawal along the Sukhi Yaly River.
On the Vremivka direction, enemy "Vostok (East)" Operational Grouping forces advancing on the right flank of this group have essentially changed the situation in the area of Velyka Novosilka, a key stronghold of Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area. The 36th, 37th Motorized Rifle Brigades, and the 5th Tank Brigade, reinforced by the 40th and 336th Naval Infantry Brigades, broke through on the Shakhtarske–Rozdolne and Zolota Nyva–Velyka Novosilka directions. The enemy intends to advance towards Shakhtarske–Velyka Novosilka and Yasna Polyana–Rozlyv.
This is aimed at increasing pressure on the left flank of the "Tavriya" OSG tactical group, defending in the Velyka Novosilka–Vremivka area, and supporting the 51st and 8th Armies, advancing on Kurakhove from the east and south.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces advanced near Mala Tokmachka and are progressing in Bilohirya.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
Black Sea: 2 ships, including 1 cruise missile carrier; the total salvo is 4 cruise missiles.
Russian forces have deployed several S-300 air defense missile system batteries near the military base at Cape Fiolent in the occupied Crimea, where the 25th Coastal Defense Missile Battalion of the 11th Coastal Defense Missile Brigade and the 26th Naval Radar Battalion are stationed.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
On the Vremivka direction, the main forces of the 5th Combined Arms Army of the "Vostok (East)" Operational Grouping (127th Motorized Rifle Division, 57th and 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades) are expected to be deployed into the operation. These forces have already captured Rivnopil and advanced toward Novodaryivka.
Possible operation situation developments:
The troops of the 20th Combined Arms Army will be used by the command of the enemy's "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping on the flanks of its operational zone to facilitate the offensives of the 1st Tank Army and the 25th Combined Arms Army on the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, respectively. The redeployment of part of the forces of the 20th Army to the operational zones of the 1st Tank Army and the 25th Army is likely.
If the enemy manages to advance to the Chervone–Stupochky line on the Kramatorsk direction and simultaneously begins intensive northward attacks at the junction of its 41st and 51st Armies from the Novooleksandrivka–Arkhanhelske line, reaching the Yablunivka–Oleksandro-Kalynove line on the Toretsk direction, then the "Khortytsia" OSG will be forced to withdraw towards Kostyantynivka.
Before the end of November “Tavriya” OSG will withdraw from its positions along the Yelyzavetivka–Konstyantynopil line, Kurakhove, and the northern bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir to avoid encirclement.
On the Vremivka direction, the main forces of the 5th Combined Arms Army of the "Vostok" Grouping (127th Motorized Rifle Division, 57th and 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades) are expected to be deployed into the operation. These forces have already captured Rivnopil and advanced toward Novodaryivka.
By the end of the current year, the enemy will not succeed in seizing the "belt of fortresses" Kostyantynivka – Druzhkivka – Kramatorsk – Sloviansk or occupying Donetsk Oblast. The upcoming battle for Pokrovsk will mark the apex of the enemy’s offensive operation in the Southwestern Theater of Operations in 2024.
The expected sequence of enemy actions for capturing Pokrovsk is as follows: first, the 90th Tank Division of the 41st Combined Arms Army and the 27th Motorized Rifle Division of the 2nd Combined Arms Army will break through to the area south of Pokrovsk. Afterward, the main forces of the 2nd and 41st Combined Arms Armies will advance from the direction of Mykolaivka toward Myrnohrad (via Promin). Another possible maneuver could involve an advance from Hrodivka toward Novoekonomichne, with attempts to break through along the railway directly to Pokrovsk from the direction of Novohrodivka.
The enemy's military command in the theater of operations until March 2025 will be creating conditions to achieve the military-political goal of the Special Military Operation: reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts and the junction of Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk Oblasts near the village of Temyrivka.
