General conclusion:
Russian forces attempt to exploit their numerical advantage in personnel and light vehicles for attacks on the Northern Slobozhansky direction. The enemy does not use armored vehicles within 10–15 kilometers of the front line. The enemy attempts to maneuver through difficult terrain with ravines, small rivers, and forests. Russian forces have slowed the pace of their offensive in Sumy Oblast, which is explained by a shortage of personnel.
On the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces have become more active near Vovchansk. In January 2025, the enemy deployed units with 30–45 days of preparation, but now deploys forces with a maximum of 14 days of training. On the Vovchansk direction, Russian forces conduct up to 10 assaults daily, involving infantry groups of up to 25 personnel instead of the previous 3–10.
Russian forces intensify efforts on the Kupyansk direction, deploying untrained infantry units into combat.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attempt to attack Ukrainian logistics near Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka. Russian military command has relocated the main forces of the “Rubikon” Center for Advanced Drone Technologies from the Pokrovsk direction to the area around Chasiv Yar.
On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy’s use of motorcycles and buggies has proven relatively effective. The enemy also employs Geran-2 drones for strikes near Razyne and Sofiivka, indicating a shift in the concept of using long-range Shahed/Geran drones not only against targets in the rear of Ukraine.

Possible operation situation developments:
On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy’s “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping is trying to reach the Mala Korchakivka – Nova Sich – Maryinka – Sadky line in the near future.
On the Kupyansk direction, the command of the enemy's "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping will advance with forces of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division from the bridgehead near Nove toward the high ground near the village of Cherneshchyna, and with forces of the 4th Tank Division, which is advancing on converging directions Raihorodka–Cherneshchyna and Pershotravneve–Kopanky, will attempt to encircle a tactical group of the “Khortytsia” Operational-Strategic Grouping (OSG) defending along the Novoyehorivka–Hrekivka line.
On the Lyman direction, the forces of the "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping will advance towards the Karlivka – Shandryholove – Drobysheve line while simultaneously advancing near Torske to approach Lyman from the east. The 25th Combined Arms Army will advance in the Dibrova – Yampil direction and in the area of the Serebriansk Forest in order to break through the communication lines of the "Khortytsia" OSG.
On the Siversk direction, the command of the enemy's "Yug (South)" Operational Grouping will attempt to eliminate the Siversk salient held by "Khortytsia" OSG and break through towards the Sloviansk – Kramatorsk agglomeration. The 3rd Combined Arms Army will try to break through to the northern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River between Yampil and Hryhorivka, and from the southeast – toward Siversk.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the command of the enemy’s “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping and the 3rd Army may shift the direction of their main strike to the north of Chasiv Yar and launch an offensive on both sides of the Bakhmut–Sloviansk road, along the directions of Orikhovo-Vasylivka–Minkivka and Blahodatne–Pryvillya. This would allow them to break through to the immediate approaches to Sloviansk directly from the southeast and create a real threat of a deep envelopment of the right flank of the “Starobilsk” Operational Tactical Group (OTG). If the enemy succeeds in achieving operational surprise along these directions and advances to tactical depth, the situation in the Kolodyazi–Hryhorivka section on the Lyman direction will deteriorate significantly for the “Kharkiv” OTG.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces will soon have to withdraw from a fairly large area on both banks of the Vovcha River and fall back to the Novopavlivka–Piddubne line.

Humanitarian + general:
Starting from 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 97 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones. As of 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, air defense neutralized 78 drones: 63 were shot down, and 15 were lost from radar or suppressed by electronic warfare. Impacts were recorded in six locations.
During the night and morning of June 24, the aggressor shelled the Nikopol District of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast using artillery and FPV drones, targeting the city of Nikopol as well as the Marhanets and Myrivka communities. As a result of the attack, four people were injured. An administrative building, an apartment building, two single family homes, and a store were damaged.
Around midnight, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on a village in the Verkhniosyrovatka community of Sumy Oblast. The strikes killed three people, including a child, and injured six others, including three children. Around 30 houses were damaged.
During the night of June 24, Russian forces launched seven Shahed drones at Kharkiv. One failed to detonate, while the rest struck three locations — two in the single family home sector of the Nemyshliansky District and one civilian enterprise in the Saltivskyi District. Five people were injured.
On June 24, the enemy attacked the territory of one of the training centers of the Ukrainian Ground Forces in Chernihiv Oblast with Shahed-type drones. One serviceman was injured and taken to a medical facility.
Russian occupation forces launched a strike on Dnipro on June 24, causing a series of explosions. Extensive damage was reported throughout the city. Infrastructure, educational and medical institutions, administrative buildings, State Emergency Service facilities, and a passenger train were affected. Forty-six apartment buildings, 41 private homes, several dormitories, and over a hundred vehicles were damaged. A gas station, a service station, outbuildings, market stalls, and stores were also hit. Fifteen people were killed, and more than 200 were injured, with the number continuing to rise. Another infrastructure facility was damaged in the town of Samara in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, where two people were killed and 14 injured.
On June 24, Russian forces struck one of the villages in the Polohy District of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A 67-year-old man sustained multiple injuries and contusions.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 105 rescuers in Ukraine have been killed and 502 wounded.
The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, stated that there are currently more than 4.6 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine. Half of them are children, pensioners, or people with disabilities.
In the Kupyansk direction, 6,063 people remain in the evacuation zone. On average, between 10 and 50 people evacuate daily.
Before the full-scale invasion, around 400 university applicants arrived annually from temporarily occupied Crimea to the territory controlled by Ukraine. In 2024, the number dropped to 57, according to the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, Olha Kurishko.
According to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, since 2014, Russian occupation forces have killed at least 70 clergy members in occupied territories. He emphasized that Russia is attempting to destroy freedom of conscience, persecutes Protestant communities, abducts and tortures clergy, and bans the activities of independent religious organizations.
According to the Center for National Resistance, so-called "governor’s school labor brigades" have started operating in temporarily occupied Sevastopol. Under this program, children are forcibly involved in cleaning not just parks but squares dedicated to "heroes of the special military operation" — occupiers fighting against Ukraine. Behind rhetoric about "fostering industriousness," the Center emphasizes, is the actual use of child labor for ideological support of the occupation regime.
According to the Luhansk Oblast State Administration, Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast plan to teach seven-year-old children to operate drones. Preparation for war will begin from the first grade under the oversight of the propaganda organization “Movement of the First.” The Kremlin has ordered the age threshold for participation in the Russian drone championship to be lowered to the minimum, so from next year, children from age seven will be allowed to compete. In addition, the textbook Unmanned Aerial Vehicles has been added to the federal list of educational materials and will be centrally supplied to schools where the subject will be taught as part of labor education.
