According to the assessment of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the enemy will not be able to achieve the goal of the so-called special military operation to capture the entire Donetsk Oblast by the end of 2025. Provided current dynamics of combat operations are maintained, the enemy will be able to capture Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka, and Kupyansk no earlier than the end of the year and reach the close approaches to Zaporizhzhia and the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration by early winter.
The command of the enemy's “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping, in cooperation with the right flank of the “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping, will expand its bridgehead northeast of Velykyi Burluk in the Southern Slobozhansky direction and will try to capture Khatnie.
On the Kupyansk direction, the forward units of the 6th Combined Arms Army will try to bypass Kupyansk as deeply as possible, primarily from the west and northwest in the direction of Radkivka – Myrne, in the general direction of the Chuhuiv – Kupyansk highway, and take control of the Mala Shapkivka – Velyka Shapkivka – Kindrashivka – Tyshchenkivka area.
The enemy will develop an offensive on Lyman from the side of Zelena Dolyna, and on Siversk. The command of the enemy's “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping may open a new direction through Zarichne and will try to level the front line by attacking along converging directions. The concentration of the enemy on this bridgehead will give the 3rd Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces the opportunity to hold its positions and counterattack on a wide section of the front, while also blocking the enemy's advance on Borova. The enemy will break through to the area northwest of Lyman and will try to reach the Siverskyi Donets river on the Yarova – Novoselivka – Drobysheve – Pryshyb line, which will create conditions for the capture of Lyman. In the near future, battles will begin along the Yampil – Dronivka line. Defense Forces units defending east of Dronivka will be forced to withdraw from both banks of the Siverskyi Donets.
Russian troops will try to cut off the H20 Kostyantynivka – Sloviansk highway. For this purpose, they will attack in the directions of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka and Druzhkivka, complicating the logistics of the 19th Combined Arms Corps of the Defense Forces in Kostyantynivka, thereby contributing to the capture of the "fortress belt."
On the Pokrovsk direction, the potential remains for encirclement of elements of the enemy's 51st Combined Arms Army in the directions of Nykanorivka/Zapovidne–Mayak and Razyne–Novotoretske. Ukrainian Defense Forces, counterattacking along the Kazennyi Torets river from south to north and in the direction of Volodymyrivka – Novotoretske, threaten to make the encirclement even more large-scale. The enemy's 51st Combined Arms Army will break through to the Shevchenko – Biletske – Rodynske – Hryshyne area aiming to block the defense area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk – Myrnohrad agglomeration from the north.
On the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy's “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping will be forced to stretch the front in the southern direction, striving to level the front line in the northern direction, accelerating the advance of its left flank. The 5th Combined Arms Army will advance on a wide front in the directions of Komyshuvakha – Ternove and Zaporizhzhia – Berezove, in addition, it will continue to fight for Novoivanivka and Novomykolayivka, while trying to advance north of Olhivske.
On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy's “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will continue the local offensive operation, trying to break through along the left bank of the Dnipro River from the Plavni – Kamianske line to Stepnohirsk and from the Stepove – Mali Shcherbaky line in a northern direction.
On the Prydniprovske direction, the command of the enemy's “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will continue trying to take control of most of the island zone in the Dnipro delta in the direction of Kherson, will try to create a tactical bridgehead on the right bank, and to eliminate the tactical bridgeheads of the 30th Marine Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of the automobile and railway bridges near Antonivka.

Humanitarian + general:
On the night of September 22, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 141 “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and other drone models, of which about 80 were “Shaheds.” Ukrainian Air defense forces shot down and suppressed 132 drones. Nine hits were recorded in seven locations, and the wreckage of shot-down drones fell in eight places.

Around 4:30 AM on September 22, Russian forces struck civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, dropping at least 10 aerial bombs. As a result of the attacks, vehicles were destroyed and damaged, fires broke out, three people were killed, and four more were wounded.
On the night of September 22, Russian drones attacked Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, causing a number of fires. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russians launched a missile attack on Pavlohrad district, wounding a 69-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman. In the Nikopol district, several communities and the district center came under fire, where infrastructure, enterprises, private houses, and communications were damaged, but no casualties were recorded.
In the Kramatorsk community of Donetsk Oblast, three people were wounded as a result of a Russian Lancet drone hitting a minibus.
Within the framework of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, two 18-year-old boys who were in danger of forced conscription into the Russian army were returned from the temporarily occupied territory.
On September 22, in the central part of Kherson, Vadym Khomenko, the chief engineer of the public television company “Suspilne Kherson,” hit a "petal" mine. He received serious leg injuries, had surgery, and his condition is stable.

During the full-scale war, people began to associate themselves more with the country as a whole than with their region (77%). 52% of Ukrainians consider themselves Europeans and only 8% consider themselves a "Soviet person."
88% of Ukrainians do not plan to move abroad for permanent residence, while young people and people with a lower income level show a greater tendency to emigrate. The absolute majority of respondents are optimistic about the future of Ukraine (76%) and their own future (72%). Only 11% would like to move abroad, while in 2020 there were 27% and in 2022 there were 9%. Those who have relatives in other countries are slightly more likely to talk about their intention to emigrate: 14% versus 10% of those who do not have such relatives.
