Russia’s war on Ukraine. 19.10.25
Operational situation
On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attacked near Kindrativka and Oleksiivka and fought for Yunakivka. The enemy’s “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping command is withdrawing units of the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 44th Army Corps from Yunakivka and replacing them with units of the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division, attempting to resume the offensive.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Kindrativka and Oleksiivka, held their positions south of Yunakivka, and disrupted enemy logistics near Tetkino, complicating its advance toward Ryzhivka.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the 136th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 58th Combined Arms Army fought for Tykhe. Russian forces attacked near Vovchansk, toward Obukhivka and Bolohivka, attempted to advance southeast of Ambarne, and on the northwestern outskirts of Odradne.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance into Kupyansk, attacked near Zakhidne and Doroshivka, toward Kutkivka, and near Fiholivka, Krasne Pershe, Kamyanka, toward Kolodyazne, near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, and Hrekivka.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked along the Sobolivka–Myrove–Radkivka line.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked near Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Korovyi Yar, Shandryholove, Karpivka, Novyi Myr, Torske, and Yampil.
On the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance between Kuzmynivka and Vyimka, attacked near Dronivka, Hryhorivka, Vyimka, and Pereyizne.
On the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces fought for Pleshchiivka, attacked near Kostyantynivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Predtechyne, Toretsk, Ivanopillya, and Shcherbynivka, toward Berestok, and near Rusyn Yar and Volodymyrivka. The enemy failed to fully capture Stupochky and Predtechyne. The aggressor is crossing the Siverskyi Donets–Donbas canal toward Markove and Novomarkove; its assault groups bypass Stupochky and move toward Kostyantynivka through forested areas near the T0504 Bakhmut–Kostyantynivka highway.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces advanced north of Myrnohrad, attempted to move toward Prokofieva Street in central Pokrovsk, toward the T0515 Pokrovsk–Dobropillya highway in the “Sobachivka” district, infiltrate Novopavlivka, and attacked near Shakhove, Zapovidne, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Krasnyi Lyman, Balahan, Promin, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Leontovychi, Troyanda, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Molodetske.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked in the “Durniak” district of Pokrovsk and south of Leontovychi, detected and destroyed enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups attempting to infiltrate Pokrovsk.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces advanced in the northern part of Pryvillya and attacked near Kotlyarivka, Filiya, Sichneve, Oleksandrohrad, Vorone, Sosnivka, Oleksiivka, Verbove, toward Orestopil and Vovche. The 11th Air and Air Defense Army struck bridges over the Vovcha River — on Tsentralna Street in Pokrovsk and on the S0414111 road section between Dobropasove and Kolomiyets.

On the Prydniprovske direction, Russian forces attacked near the Antonivskyi railway and road bridges.
General conclusion:
On the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces attack exclusively in small infantry groups supported by UAVs and artillery, having adapted their tactics to isolate Ukrainian defensive positions by blocking their logistics.
On the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian units on secondary sectors of the front experience a shortage of UAVs and are forced to steal drones and components, including blades and engines, from other units.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):
There were 223combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there were three engagements over the past day.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed Ukrainian Defense Forces positions 8 times near Odradne, Kamyanka, and Bolohivka.
On the Kupyansk direction, 11 enemy assaults took place. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks near Stepova Novoselivka, Kupyansk, Petropavlivka, and toward Mala Shapkivka and Pishchane.

The 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Combined Arms Army is striking Ukrainian forces near Pokrovsk and in the “Pervomayka” district.
The 657th Separate Anti Tank Battalion of the 29th Combined Arms Army strikes Ukrainian logistics in Orestopil.
Possible operation situation developments:
According to the assessment of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the enemy will not be able to achieve the goal of the so-called special military operation to capture the entire Donetsk Oblast by the end of 2025. Provided current dynamics of combat operations are maintained, the enemy will be able to capture Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka, and Kupyansk no earlier than the end of the year and reach the close approaches to Zaporizhzhia and the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration by early winter.
On the Kupyansk direction, the forward units of the 6th Combined Arms Army will try to bypass Kupyansk as deeply as possible, primarily from the west and northwest in the direction of Radkivka – Myrne, in the general direction of the Chuhuiv – Kupyansk highway and take control of the Mala Shapkivka – Velyka Shapkivka – Kindrashivka – Tyshchenkivka area. Holding the Petropavlivka – Pishchane – Kolisnykivka – Kivsharivka area by the 10th Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces depends on the outcome of the battles in the Kupyansk area, therefore even the loss of Kupyansk will not lead to the loss of logistics for the tactical group of Ukrainian Defense Forces operating east of the Oskil River.
On the Lyman direction, troops of the enemy’s “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping will push into the area of Yarova – Novoselivka – Drobysheve – Pryshyb and will try to block Lyman from the northwest, cutting all main routes that do not cross the Siverskyi Donets River and reach the river on the widest possible front.
The ability of the 11th Army Corps to hold the Novoselivka – Stavky line is acquiring important operational significance.
Russian troops will try to cut off the H20 Kostyantynivka – Sloviansk highway. For this purpose, they will attack in the directions of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka and Druzhkivka, complicating the logistics of the 19th Combined Arms Corps of the Defense Forces in Kostyantynivka, thereby contributing to the capture of the “fortress belt.” The enemy command prepares an offensive on Kostyantynivka and Druzhkivka, which involves delivering concentric strikes simultaneously from the northeast, from the direction of Chasiv Yar, from the southeast, from the direction of Toretsk and the Kleban-Byk reservoir, and from the southwest, from the Poltavka – Novoolenivka line.
In the Dobropillya area, troops of the 51st Combined Arms Army will try to completely push Ukrainian Defense Forces out of the Sofiivka – Volodymyrivka – Pankivka – Shakhove area. The simultaneous activation of the offensive of the troops of the 2nd Combined Arms Army of the “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping in the areas of Zvirove, Troyanda, and in the direction of Chunyshyne – Novopavlivka indicates the enemy command’s intention to adhere to its plan for the Pokrovsk offensive operation going forward. The enemy will assault Pokrovsk with the main forces of the 2nd Combined Arms Army.
Taking advantage of the very weak coordination between the headquarters of the 51st and 8th Combined Arms Armies of the enemy, significant problems with the combat capability of its troops in the Dobropillya area, and the inability to break through to the western outskirts of Shakhove, Ukrainian Defense Forces can create conditions for the complete clearing of the enemy’s 51st Combined Arms Army bridgehead on the Kazennyi Torets River north of Myrnohrad and thereby remove the threat of encirclement of the Pokrovsk defense area.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping will concentrate its main efforts in the offensive sectors of the 5th and 36th Combined Arms Armies, attempting to flank the 17th Army Corps’ Huliaypole defense area of Ukrainian Defense Forces. The enemy, with forces from the 127th Motorized Rifle Division of the 5th Combined Arms Army and the 57th, 60th, 37th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades, the 5th Separate Tank Brigade, and the 69th Separate Cover Brigade of the 35th Combined Arms Army on the Oleksandrohrad – Verbove sector, will attempt to break through to the Pokrovske – Kolomiytsi – Novooleksandrivka – Vidradne area and cut the T0401 Pokrovske – Huliaypole highway. With part of its forces, the aggressor will advance in the Novoivanivka – Uspenivka direction. The enemy will break through to Pokrovske, try to capture Velykomykhailivka, and cut communications leading north from Huliaypole. A probable development of the 5th Combined Arms Army’s offensive may be a shift of the main attack direction to the southern part of the 17th Army Corps’ defense sector of Ukrainian Defense Forces. A successful enemy advance in this direction will allow it to block the 17th Army Corps’ Huliaypole defense area from the north and northeast, but it will be forced to assault Uspenivka and force the Yanchur River.
On the Orikhiv direction, the “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will continue a local offensive operation, attempting to break through along the left bank of the Dnipro River from the Plavni – Kamianske line toward Stepnohirsk and from the Stepove – Mali Shcherbaky line in the northern direction.
On the Prydniprovske direction, the command of the enemy’s “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will continue trying to take control of most of the island zone in the Dnipro delta in the direction of Kherson, will try to create a tactical bridgehead on the right bank, and to eliminate the tactical bridgeheads of the 30th Marine Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of the automobile and railway bridges near Antonivka.
