Operational situation
In the operational zone of the Ukrainian Operational Group of Forces (OTG) "Kharkiv" on the Kharkiv direction, 3 battles took place near Lyptsi and Vovchansk.
In the "Khortytsia" Operational-Strategic Group of Forces (OSG) operational zone on the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked 20 times. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled assaults near Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova, and Synkivka. On the Lyman direction, there were 20 clashes, particularly near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Terny, Novosadove, and Torske. On the Siversk direction, there were two combat engagements. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assaults near Verkhnyokamianske and Ivano-Dariivka. On the Kramatorsk direction, 14 battles occurred in the areas of Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Stupochky, and Predtechyne. On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked 24 times near Zalizne, Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Nelipivka.
In the "Tavriya" OSG operational zone, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 45 enemy attacks in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Zelene Pole, Myrolyubivka, Hrodivka, Mykolaivka, Ptyche, Novohrodivka, Zavitne, Skuchne, and Mykhailivka. The highest concentration of attacks was near Vozdvyzhenka and Novohrodivka. On the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 9 enemy attacks near Paraskoviivka, Krasnohorivka, and Kostyantynivka. On the Vremivka direction, Russian invaders launched 4 assaults, particularly toward Vodyane and Rozdolne.
In the operational zone of "Odesa" OSG on the Prydniprovskiy direction, the enemy forces conducted 4 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian units but were unsuccessful.
General conclusion:
On the Kharkiv direction, the pace of Russian attacks near Starytsya has decreased, and the enemy is attempting to fortify its positions in this area.
On the Kharkiv direction, two weeks ago, Russian forces launched 30 to 40 strikes per day, but have recently reduced the number of glide bomb strikes to approximately 1-4 per day. This could be due to a shift in the enemy's fire priorities and reallocating its resources for attacks on the Pokrovsk, Kursk, and Sumy directions, or due to the loss of munitions as a result of Ukrainian Defense Forces' strikes on their storage sites.
Over the past week, Russian forces have launched more than 40 missiles, 750 glide bombs, and 200 drones against Ukraine.
Ukrainian Defense Forces detained a group of Russian conscript soldiers disguised in civilian clothes in the southern part of Goncharovka (west of Sudzha).
Belarusian forces may increase their activity along the border with Ukraine to tie down part of Ukrainian Defense Forces in border areas, but Belarus is almost certainly not going to directly enter the war in Ukraine.

There were 149 combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Kursk Direction: Ukrainian Defense Forces continued attacks across the entire salient in Kursk Oblast and made slight advances southeast of Sudzha, in northern Martynovka, captured Troitskoe, reached Semenovka, and attacked the outskirts of Korenevo, in the area of Komarovka, near Olgovka, Alekseevskoye, Safonovka, Kromskie Byki, Kauchuk, Sheptukhovka, Cherkasskoye Porechie, Russkoye Porechie, Ozerka, Giri, Borki, entered Otrub, operated near Tetkino, conducted an airstrike on the bridge over the Seym River in Zvannoye, and destroyed the bridge over the Seym River in Glushkovo.
On the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces continued attacks near Lyptsi, Hlyboke, and near Vovchansk but were unsuccessful. Enemy assault groups are regrouping near Hlyboke.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces attacked near Hlushkivka, Berestove, and Stelmakhivka.
On the Lyman direction, units of the enemy's 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army advanced to the northern outskirts of Makiivka. The enemy attacked near Hrekivka, Nevske, Novosadove, Novoyehorivka, Terny, Torske, and Dibrova.
On the Siversk Direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces recaptured some positions on the eastern outskirts of Ivano-Dariivka and advanced in the area of the village.
Russian forces continued attacks in the areas of Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, Vyimka, and Pereyizne.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces continued their offensive in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, and Predtechyne, making slight advances near Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, and Ivanivske.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces control most of New York and are close to capturing it, seized the spoil tip to the west of Pivnichne, pushed Ukrainian units from positions south of Zalizne, advanced within the northwestern part of Zalizne, on the eastern outskirts of Toretsk, entered the outskirts of Nelipivka from the east, attempted assaults near Pivnichne and Zalizne but failed, losing nearly all of their armored personnel carriers, and continued attacks near Toretsk and Dyliivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces captured Svyrydonivka, Zavitne, Mezhove, and Skuchne, advanced north of Zhuravka, west of Mykolaivka, and east of Zhelanne, and continued their offensive near Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Zelene Pole, Myrolyubivka, Novotoretske, Novohrodivka, Mykhailivka, Hrodivka, Mykolaivka, Ptyche, and Novohrodivka.
On the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces captured the ventilation shaft of the "Pivdennodonbaska No. 1" mine (east of Vuhledar) and advanced up to 2 km near the shaft and south of Kostyantynivka, continuing their offensive in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka, Kostyantynivka, Vodyane, and Vuhledar.
On the Prydniprovskiy direction, the 81st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 70th Motorized Rifle Division of the 18th Combined Arms Army attacked on the left bank of Kherson Oblast, and the 31st Separate Air Assault Brigade attacked on the islands in the Dnipro River Delta.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
Mediterranean Sea: 1 ship, including 0 cruise missile carriers; the total salvo is 0 cruise missiles.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
Battalions of the 228th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 90th Tank Division of the 41st Combined Arms Army operate in the areas of Novozhelanne and Zavitne.
Units of the 6th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Army Corps are engaged in combat near Verkhnyokamianske.

The sides are deploying reserves to the Belitsa and Giri areas of Kursk Oblast, where combat clashes are expected to occur in the next day or two.
On the Kupyansk direction, in the operational zone of the 1st Tank Army, command of the enemy's "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping will attempt to reach the Oskil River in the Hlushkivka – Zahryzove sector, the Petropavlivka – Kurylivka line, and storm Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi railway junction. To bind the “Khortytsia" OSG forces, the enemy will exert frontal pressure on their positions in the Stepova Novoselivka area.
On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy will attempt to advance to the Orlivka-Mykolaivka line.

Humanitarian+general:
The World Health Organization confirmed that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, there have been 1,940 attacks on Ukraine's healthcare system. According to the organization, this is the highest number they have ever recorded in any humanitarian emergency worldwide.
Since the beginning of this year, three workers from humanitarian non-governmental organizations have been killed and 16 others injured due to the ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine.
During the night of August 19, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 11 Shahed-type strike UAVs from the Kursk direction and the Russian city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk. All the drones were successfully destroyed.
On the afternoon of August 19, Russian military forces shelled the city of Toretsk and the village of Zarichne in Donetsk Oblast, killing 4 local residents.
On the afternoon of August 19, Russian forces shelled Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv Oblast for several hours using tanks, resulting in injuries to two civilians.
Around 6:00 PM, the occupiers dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a civilian vehicle in the Dnipro district of Kherson. As a result of the explosion, a 34-year-old woman was injured. She was hospitalized with a concussion, explosive injuries, and a traumatic brain injury.
Starting August 20, in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, mandatory evacuation of children and families with children will begin.
In the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Russian occupiers are confiscating over 100,000 properties they have declared "ownerless." This includes not only homes and apartments whose owners have left the temporarily occupied territories, but also those where the owners reside but lack proper ownership documents, such as properties registered under a relative's name. The confiscated, or as the occupiers call them, "nationalized" properties are being settled by new arrivals from Russia.
Russian occupiers have looted and nearly destroyed the Askania-Nova nature reserve in Kherson Oblast, and the animals are being transported to Russia.
