On the Kursk direction, fighting continued near Pogrebki, Viktorovka, Sverdlivkovo, Cherkasskya Konopelka, and Fanaseevka. The enemy advanced to the northwestern outskirts of Sverdlivkovo and attempted to advance near Cherkasskya Konopelka and within Pogrebki, trying to dislodge Ukrainian units from Fanaseevka.
The "Siversk" Operational and Tactical Group (OTG) attacked in the direction of Ulanok and holds positions in Sverdlivkovo.
On the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked near Vovchansk, attempting to advance on the eastern outskirts of the city.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked near Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Kindrashivka, Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kruhlyakivka, Kolisnykivka, Bohuslavka, Zahryzove, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Zelenyi Hai, Kopanky, and Novoserhiyivka. On the Siversk direction, Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked on the eastern outskirts of Verkhnokamianske and north of the village.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops advanced in the fields east of Stupochky, south of Chasiv Yar, and attacked in the city and near Vasyukivka.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked near Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Krymske.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops attacked near Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Vodyane Druhe, Novooleksandrivka, Myrnohrad, Baranivka, Myroliubivka, Novotoretske, Zelenе Pole, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Dachenske, Pishchane, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Nadiivka, Yasenove, Kotlyarivka, Preobrazhenka, and Zaporizhzhia. They advanced slightly on the eastern outskirts of Udachne and tried to move toward Novopavlivka, southwest of Nadiivka, near Uspenivka, northwest and northeast of Kotlyne, south of Udachne, and northwest of Sribne, aiming to reach the northern outskirts of Preobrazhenka. Numerous attempts to capture Yelyzavetivka to expand their tactical wedge toward Malynivka—both from Vozdvyzhenka and across the Kazennyi Torets River from the village of Svyrydonivka—were unsuccessful.
Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared the industrial zone in Vodyane Druhe and pushed Russian forces out of Dachenske. They advanced to the southwest of Pishchane, captured most of the village, and counterattacked on the western outskirts of Lysivka, near Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, and Preobrazhenka. In the area of the farm near Vodyane Druhe, Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked and pushed the enemy slightly south toward the previously occupied Baranivka.

General conclusion:
On the Kursk direction, forward units of the "Siversk" OTG entered Sverdlivkovo and are fighting for Ulanok and Plekhovo. The total depth of advance is 5–5.5 km. The enemy’s "Sever (North)" Operational Grouping has transferred a contingent of the North Korean Armed Forces to this direction.
The enemy’s strike group south of Pokrovsk is facing difficulties in organizing and conducting attacks on several directions and sectors.
The enemy's "Tsentr (Center)" Operational Grouping lacks the resources to maintain the required level of manpower in forward units of the 41st and 2nd Armies, which suffered significant losses in previous battles. Over the past three days, the enemy advanced only in the operational zone of the 41st Army on its extreme right flank, north of Vozdvyzhenka, in the direction of the road junction on the Pokrovsk-Bakhmut highway.
In a 15 km-wide sector along the front, the enemy concentrated the main forces of two combined-arms armies. After more than two months of fighting since their tactical breakthrough of the "Khortytsia" Operational Strategic Group’s (OSG) defense near Novotroitske and Shevchenkove (Upper), the enemy advanced a distance of 7.1–7.5 km on a 9.5–9.7 km front.
Ukrainian Defense Forces units, which are slowly retreating in the Novopavlivka direction, are engaging in fierce rear-guard battles and pinning down enemy forces that could otherwise be redeployed to Pokrovsk. The enemy is unable to advance even to a tactical depth in the Novopavlivka direction, forcing them to deploy a significant portion of the 90th Tank Division there. This situation poses a threat to the left flank of the "Tsentr (Center)" Operational Grouping near Pokrovsk.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):
There were 139 combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Kharkiv direction, the enemy assaulted Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk 4 times.
On the Kupyansk direction, there were 9 Russian attacks. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions near Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zahryzove.
On the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 12 times, attempting to advance near Kopanky, Novoyehorivka, Novolyubivka, Yampolivka, Terny, and Kolodyazi.
On the Siversk direction, the enemy attacked 6 times in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Serebrianka, and Hryhorivka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, 8 clashes were recorded in the areas of Vasyukivka, Bila Hora, and Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, 47 enemy attacks were repelled near Baranivka, Vodyane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Nadiivka, Andriivka, and Dachne.
On the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked 12 times near Zelenivka, Vremivka, and Novosilka.
In the operational zone in Kursk Oblast, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 27 attacks, and enemy aviation carried out 48 airstrikes.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
Black Sea: 1 ship, including 1 cruise missile carrier; the total salvo is 4 cruise missiles.
Mediterranean Sea: 5 ships, including 2 cruise missile carriers; the total salvo is 22 cruise missiles.
Supporting operation:
Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Saratov oil refinery and Engels-2 airbase. During the strike on the Afipsky oil refinery, the deployment point of the 90th Air Defense Brigade of the 49th Army was also hit.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
346th Separate SOF Brigade operates near Siversk.
347th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 47th Tank Division of the 1st Tank Army operates on the Kupyansk direction.
78th Motorized Rifle Regiment "Sever-Akhmat" of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Army, 13th BARS "Rusich" detachment, and the 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Army Corps operate near Chasiv Yar.
The 506th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division of the 2nd Army is active in Uspenivka, while the 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Army operates near Kotlyne.
The 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Army is engaged in combat in the Dachne area and has not been redeployed to the Toretsk direction.
The 1195th and 1438th Motorized Rifle Regiments of Territorial Troops and the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army captured Baranivka and are attempting to reach the junction on the Pokrovsk-Bakhmut highway.
Possible operation situation developments:
Once the enemy sufficiently expands its bridgeheads on the Chornyi Zherebets River, the 25th Army, with forces of the 67th Motorized Rifle Division and the 164th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, will sharply intensify actions toward Torske and Yampolivka. This will mark the second stage of pushing "Khortytsia" OSG out of the bridgehead east of the Chornyi Zherebets River on the Lyman direction. To implement this plan, the command of "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping will need to expand the bridgehead on the Chornyi Zherebets River to a size sufficient for concentrating an assault grouping and find additional forces and resources.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the "Khortytsia" OSG units will be forced to retreat to the Kostyantynivka area if the enemy reaches the Chervone–Stupochky line and simultaneously launches an offensive northward at the junction of its 41st and 51st Combined Arms Armies from the Novooleksandrivka–Arkhanhelske line, advancing to the Yablunivka–Oleksandro-Kalynove line on the Toretsk direction.
Significant troop regrouping should be expected soon in the operational zones of the “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping and the “Yug (South) )” Operational Grouping.
The command of the enemy's "Vostok (East)" Operational Grouping will continue attacks in the direction of the Donetsk–Zaporizhzhia highway along the Mokri Yaly River in the near future and will additionally deploy part of the units from the 60th and 34th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades into the operation.
Exhausted by losses and intense battles over the past month, the enemy will not be able to quickly pursue "Khortytsia" OSG whose units are retreating from Velyka Novosilka. More and more enemy units are being withdrawn and redeployed to the Pokrovsk direction. Additionally, the enemy will not be able to break through to Zaporizhzhia or Dnipropetrovsk oblasts, as they lack the necessary troops, funds, and resources. The plan to collapse the southern Ukrainian front and advance toward Zaporizhzhia is unfeasible for the same reason.
If the Russian military command plans to prioritize the capture of the "fortress belt" in Donetsk Oblast in the spring and summer of 2025, it will be forced to intensify operational activity on the Toretsk direction in the near future. At the same time, capturing Pokrovsk will remain the primary operational objective of the Russian military command in Donetsk Oblast. Consequently, the redeployment of Eastern Military District troops to the Toretsk or Kramatorsk directions would signify a shift in the operational priorities of the occupying forces.

The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission was able to confirm that from February 2022 to the present, 12,605 civilians were killed, and another 29,178 were injured due to Russian aggression. The vast majority of civilian casualties (89%) and damage to educational and medical institutions (93%) occurred in areas under Ukrainian control.
In January, most civilian casualties were caused by short-range drones, including FVP drones, surpassing the impact of other weapons. Notably, 70% of casualties in the Ukrainian-controlled part of Kherson Oblast were due to these drones.
