On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, the 40th Separate Marines Brigade holds positions in Novokostyantynivka. Russian forces have advanced near Kostyantynivka and attacked near Bezsalivka and Yunakivka. Near the latter, they were forced to commit the 274th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Air Assault Division, which was in reserve. The 1443rd Motorized Rifle Regiment pushed back units of Ukrainian Defense Forces from Novomykolayivka but was unable to advance between Oleksiivka and Varachyne.
The 33rd Separate Assault Regiment and the 24th Separate Assault Battalion of Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated Bezsalivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked on the Novokostyantynivka – Kostyantynivka line in a northward direction, pushing the enemy out of Ukrainian territory, near and within Yunakivka, where they advanced towards the park and school and west of the village, and partially encircled units of the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division in the Sadky area. Forward units of Ukrainian Defense Forces have consolidated on a line 1 km from Oleksiivka, and their assault groups periodically penetrate the village. A Sabotage and Reconnaissance Group of Ukrainian Defense Forces was active near Manev, Bryansk Oblast.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attempted to advance on the southern bank of the Vovcha River, near Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, west of Synelnykove, and attacked near Lyptsi and Vovchansk. Units of the 128th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 44th Army Corps made several attempts to advance west of Zaliznychna Street in a southern direction and to break through Ukrainian defense in the area of the oil plant and towards the south. The enemy sporadically attacks with small assault groups in the direction of Vovchanski Khutory and Zybine in search of weak points in Ukrainian defense system, but without success.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Ohirtseve and Hatyshche.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces conducted combat in the northern part of Kupyansk, and attacked near Myrove, Kovalivka, Kindrashivka, Radkivka, Novovasylivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Zahryzove, and in the direction of Petro-Ivanivka, Kolodyazne, and Olkhivka. The 68th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Combined Arms Army is unsuccessfully advancing from a bridgehead in the Dvorichna – Putnykove and Kamyanka – Kolodyazne directions, trying to link up with units that have penetrated in the direction of Velykyi Burluk in the Milove area.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces advanced to the northern outskirts of Shandryholove, northwest of Kolodyazi, attempted to advance near Zelena Dolyna, are consolidating in Serednie, and attacked near Karpivka, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, Kolodyazi, Torske, Zarichne, Dibrova, and the Serebriansk forest. Forward units of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army, reinforced by parts of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army, are so far unsuccessfully breaking through towards the Oskil River (in the Lypove – Karpivka and Ridkodub – Hlushchenkove directions) and towards Lyman (in the Zelena Dolyna – Shandryholove direction). Forward units of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army attack in the Hrekivka – Druzhelyubivka direction.
On the Siversk direction, Russian forces attacked Siversk, near Dronivka, Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, Verkhnyokamianske, Vyimka, Ivano-Dariivka, and Pereyizne.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attacked in Chasiv Yar, near Novomarkove, and Predtechyne.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces advanced west of Toretsk, near Katerynivka, Rusyn Yar, and Yablunivka, and attacked towards Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, in Poltavka, near Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Katerynivka, Ivanopillya, and Zolotyi Kolodyaz. The 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army attacks from Dyliivka towards Oleksandro-Shultyne along the railway leading to Kostyantynivka and is trying to break through to Pleshchiivka from the direction of Krymske and Dachne. Enemy assault groups infiltrate east of the Toretsk – Kostyantynivka road to the northern outskirts of Shcherbynivka and try to consolidate there. The 20th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army is advancing from the western side of the Kleban-Byk reservoir. It has captured Yablunivka, advanced to the Bychok River, and cut the H20 Donetsk - Kostyantynivka highway.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces fight for Nove Shakhove, attempted to advance in Krasnyi Lyman, and attacked near Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Volodymyrivka, Zatyshok, Novoeconomichne, Sukhetske, Zapovidne, Ivanivka, Pankivka, Fedorivka, Nykanorivka, in the direction of Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, near Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Novoukrainka, Chunyshyne, Zelene, Zvirove, Udachne, Kotlyne, and Molodetske. The enemy has captured neither Rodynske nor Chervonyi Lyman, although it actively attacks in this sector with forces of the 9th and 1st Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades of the 51st Combined Arms Army, and was successful east of Dobropillya, where its assault groups have already been spotted in the areas of Kucheriv Yar, Nove Shakhove, and Biletske. The battles for Rodynske have been ongoing for more than a week and are very bloody for the enemy.
On the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces attempted to advance north of Novokhatske, to the eastern outskirts of Oleksandrohrad, north of Zelene Pole, and attacked near Horikhove, Dachne, Zaporizhzhia, Tovste, Zelenyi Hai, Voskresenka, Maliivka, Vilne Pole, Shevchenkove, Komyshuvakha, Novoivanivka, and in the direction of Filiya and Andriivka-Klevtsove. Forward units of the 36th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 430th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 29th Combined Arms Army, reinforced by units of the 40th Separate Marines Brigade, managed to expand their penetration in the Zelenyi Hai – Ivanivka and Piddubne – Iskra directions. The 37th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 36th Combined Arms Army attacks in the Myrne – Oleksandrohrad and Voskresenka – Sichneve directions with minimal results. The 336th Separate Marines Brigade advanced approximately 1 km south of Maliivka. Forward units of the 5th Combined Arms Army try to capture Temyrivka, have bypassed the village with their assault groups from the south along the road to Huliaypole, and are advancing in the Shevchenko – Komyshuvakha direction. The 69th Separate Cover Brigade and the 38th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 35th Combined Arms Army have been attacking in the Malynivka area for over 3 weeks but cannot fully capture it.

On the Huliaypole direction, Russian forces attacked near Temyrivka, Olhivske, and Malynivka.
On the Orikhiv direction, the 7th Air Assault Division is consolidating in Stepnohirsk but does not control the entire town; the area between Stepnohirsk and Kamianske is a gray zone. The enemy attacked near Novoandriivka, Kamianske, Stepnohirsk, and Novodanylivka.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattack near Kamianske and Plavni.
On the Prydniprovske direction, Russian forces attacked towards Karantynnyi Island, near Bilohrudyi Island and the Antonivskyi automobile bridge.
Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a battalion command post with an airstrike on the command post of an unidentified Russian battalion near Oleshky, Kherson Oblast.
General conclusion:
Battles continue along the perimeter of the enemy's incursion into the border area of Sumy Oblast. The enemy tries to hold positions in its western part while simultaneously advancing in its eastern part. On average, 10-15 combat engagements are recorded per day. On the Northern-Slobozhansky direction, the situation has reached a precarious balance. The enemy has not made significant progress for 3 weeks, and the line of combat contact fluctuates within a tactical zone of up to 0.5 km in both directions.
On the Kupyansk direction, the command of the enemy's 6th Combined Arms Army launches the main attack from a bridgehead north of Kupyansk. The enemy has expanded its incursion in the Holubivka – Radkivka direction, and its assault groups have engaged in battles for the northern outskirts of Kupyansk in the areas of Moskovka, Myrne, and near the UkrAvtoHaz gas station. To cover these actions from the north, the enemy tries to hold its ground in Kindrashivka and prevent counterattacks by Ukrainian Defense Forces along the P79 road, which can threaten its units that have broken through to Kupyansk via Radkivka. The situation in this direction looks quite threatening. The enemy can consolidate its position on the northern outskirts of Kupyansk and largely paralyze the logistical support of Ukrainian Defense Forces defending the city itself and east of it. The transfer of two reinforced battalions of the 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Tank Army to this area testifies to the intentions of the command of the enemy's “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping to conduct a deep envelopment of the entire Kupyansk defense area of the “Khortytsia” Operational Strategic Group (OSG) from the north.
The units of the 3rd Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces will soon be forced to leave their positions in the Serebriansk forest and retreat beyond the Chornyi Zherebets river. After the forward elements of the 67th Motorized Rifle Division of the 25th Combined Arms Army reached Torske, it became increasingly challenging for Ukrainian units to maintain their positions in the forest, as the 1243rd Motorized Rifle Regiment advanced close to the main logistics routes from the northern flank. Ukrainian units will retreat towards Yampil and try to stop the enemy along the Chornyi Zherebets river. The enemy's 20th Combined Arms Army has lost its offensive momentum on its bridgehead on the Chornyi Zherebets river, and the pace of its advance towards Oskil and Lyman is minimal. The neighboring 25th Combined Arms Army is very close to completely liquidating the bridgehead of Ukrainian Defense Forces on the northern bank of the Siverskyi Donets river in the Serebriansk forest area.
On the Toretsk direction, the enemy tries to completely push the troops of the 19th Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces defending south of the Kleban Byk reservoir out of the Shcherbynivka – Novospaske – Katerynivka – Kleban Byk area.
On the Pokrovsk direction, the main events unfold northeast of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration in the operational zone of the enemy's 51st Combined Arms Army. Its forward units break through to Rodynske and Krasnyi Lyman, actively using the tactic of infiltration by small assault groups, and advance in the Novotoretske – Kucheriv Yar direction (that is, in the Dobropillya direction). The command of the enemy's “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping, sensing the possibility of achieving an operational success in its operational zone, has significantly reinforced the 51st Combined Arms Army. Its main forces operate here, along with the 39th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 68th Army Corps and several units of the 2nd and 8th Combined Arms Armies. In total, the “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping has up to 100,000 servicemen in this direction. The enemy tries to advance from the southwest and northeast to envelop Pokrovsk and cut off Ukrainian logistics. The introduction of the enemy's 51st Combined Arms Army into this operation was aimed not only at bypassing the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration from the north and northeast but also at the deepest possible advance to Dobropillya. The development of the operational situation in the Dobropillya direction causes particular concern. A further advance of the 51st Combined Arms Army to the north can sharply worsen the prospects for Ukrainian defense of not only Dobropillya and Pokrovsk but also Druzhkivka and Kostyantynivka, as the enemy would deeply envelop these defense areas from the south. At the same time, the enemy has several vulnerabilities, having a relatively narrow operational formation in the northwest direction, and its rear in this direction also lags somewhat.
On the Novopavlivka direction, the troops of the 20th Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces hold positions in Dachne. In the operational zones of the 36th and 29th Combined Arms Armies, the enemy is very close to capturing the area between the Vovcha and Mokri Yaly rivers and the Vorona and Vovcha rivers and reaching the borders of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in the Ivanivka – Temyrivka section.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):

On the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 19 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Karpivka, Kolodyazi, Hrekivka, Torske, and towards Shandryholove and Dronivka.
On the Siversk direction, 5 enemy attacks were repelled. The occupiers' units tried to push back Ukrainian Defense Forces near Hryhorivka, Vyimka, and Verkhnyokamianske.
On the Kramatorsk direction, 6 combat engagements were recorded; the aggressor tried to advance in the areas of Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, and towards Bila Hora.

On the Pokrovsk direction, 42 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor were stopped in the areas of Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Zatyshok, Kucheriv Yar, Nykanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Myroliubivka, Sukhetske, Chunyshyne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Horikhove, Dachne, and Fedorivka.
On the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 33 enemy attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Vilne Pole, Temyrivka, Filiya, Maliivka, Myrne, Oleksandrohrad, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, and Olhivske.
On the Huliaypole direction, the invaders carried out 2 attacks in the Malynivka area.
On the Orikhiv direction, the invading forces attacked in the area of Kamianske and in the direction of Mala Tokmachka; Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 4 offensive actions.
On the Prydniprovske direction, the aggressor conducted 4 unsuccessful offensive attempts.
Supporting operation:
Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Saratov Oil Refinery and the Lukoil-Ukhtaneftepererabotka Oil Refinery in Ukhta, Komi Republic.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
The commander of the enemy's “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping, Colonel-General A. Lapin, has been removed from his post and replaced by Colonel-General Ye. Nikiforov.
A battalion of the 810th Separate Marines Brigade has been transferred to the Kindrativka – Andriivka area to stabilize the frontline.
The 128th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 44th Army Corps operates in Vovchansk.
The 352nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps operates near Stepova Novoselivka, and the 16th Separate SOF Brigade strikes Ukrainian troops near Kasyanivka.
The 164th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 25th Combined Arms Army operates in the Serebriansk forest.
The 238th Artillery Brigade of the 8th Combined Arms Army strikes Ukrainian positions near Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka.
The 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army operates near Kleban Byk and Poltavka, and the 20th Motorized Rifle Division of the army is near Rusyn Yar and Yablunivka. The 247th Air Assault Regiment of the 7th Air Assault Division attacks near Plavni and Stepnohirsk, and the 218th Tank Regiment of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division and the 57th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 5th Combined Arms Army are advancing in the direction of Zaporizhzhia.
In the Oleshky area, the 31st Separate Air Assault Brigade, the 328th Air Assault Regiment of the 104th Air Assault Division, and the 61st Separate Marines Brigade conduct combat operations.
Possible operation situation developments:
According to the estimates of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the enemy will not be able to achieve the goal of the so called special military operation to capture the entire Donetsk Oblast by the end of 2025. The new operational task of the enemy grouping in the theater of military operations is to advance to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and create a buffer zone 10 km deep. Provided current dynamics of combat operations are maintained, the enemy will be able to capture Pokrovsk by autumn, Kostyantynivka and Kupyansk by the end of the year, and reach the close approaches to Zaporizhzhia and the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration by early winter.
On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy’s “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping is trying to reach the Mala Korchakivka – Nova Sich – Maryinka – Sadky line.
The command of the enemy's "Sever (North)" Operational Grouping in cooperation with the right flank of “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, will attempt to expand its bridgehead northeast of Velykyi Burluk and capture Khatnie before attacking the city. For this purpose, the troops will have to force the Velykyi Burluk River on the Shevchenkove – Mykhailivka – Velykyi Burluk line. The Vovchansk – Velykyi Burluk – Dvorichna line can become a powerful defensive line within Russia's buffer zone in northern Kharkiv Oblast in the medium- and long-term perspective.
On the Kupyansk direction, the enemy aims to break through from the north and northeast to the R07 Kharkiv – Chuhuiv – Kupyansk highway, which is the main logistical route of the “Khortytsia” Operational-Strategic Grouping (OSG) in the direction. Therefore, it will persistently attack in the directions of Radkivka – Kovalivka and Radkivka – Myrne, despite losses. Success will allow the enemy to completely block the logistics of a significant part of the group defending Kupyansk itself and holding a significant bridgehead east of it across the Oskil River.
On the Siversk direction, the command of the enemy's "Yug (South)" Operational Grouping will attempt to eliminate the Siversk salient held by "Khortytsia" OSG and break through towards the Sloviansk – Kramatorsk agglomeration. The 3rd Combined Arms Army will try to break through to the northern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River between Yampil and Hryhorivka, and from the southeast – toward Siversk. In the near future, the enemy will try to capture Pereyizne and attack Zvanivka along the eastern bank of the Bakhmutka River, trying to break through to Siversk from the south.
On the Toretsk direction, the troops of the 19th Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces will have to leave the Shcherbynivka area, south of the Kleban Byk reservoir, and try to stop the advance of the enemy's 3rd and 8th Combined Arms Armies on the Pleshchiivka – Oleksandro-Shultyne line and go on the defensive in the area of Dovha Balka – Illinivka – Berestok – Stepanivka.
Russian forces may try to attack directly west of Chasiv Yar in the direction of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka and Druzhkivka to cut the H20 Kostyantynivka – Sloviansk highway and complicate the logistics of Ukrainian Defense Forces in Kostyantynivka, thereby facilitating envelopment and capture efforts of the "fortress belt". Russian forces may also try to advance northwest of Chasiv Yar in the direction of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, transferring part of the troops to attack along the E40 Bakhmut – Sloviansk highway for this purpose, thereby creating conditions for an assault on the "fortress belt" from the northeast. The advance of troops of the 3rd Combined Arms Army near Siversk may contribute to the adoption of such a decision by the command of the adversary's “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping.
Northeast of Pokrovsk, the enemy will continue attacks with the forces of the 51st Combined Arms Army in the direction of Rodynske from both Fedorivka and Razyne, at the same time trying to break through as close as possible to Dobropillya. In addition, the enemy will continue attacks in the Novoekonomichne – Myrnohrad and Myrolyubivka – Myrnohrad directions. As soon as the 51st Combined Arms Army blocks communications from Pokrovsk to Dobropillya, the 41st and 2nd Combined Arms Armies will proceed to assault Pokrovsk.
On the Novopavlivka direction, the command of the enemy "Vostok (East)" Operational Grouping is trying to capture the area of Havrylivka – Zelenyi Hai – Temyrivka – Novomykolayivka between the Vovcha and Vorona rivers, at the junction of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The lines for the armies' immediate objectives may be: for the 5th Combined Arms Army it is the Komyshuvakha – Temyrivka line, and for the 36th and 29th Combined Arms Armies it is the Havrylivka – Novoselivka line. In the near future, continued enemy attacks should be expected in the operational zone of the 29th Combined Arms Army in the direction of Piddubne – Iskra along the Zaporizhzhia – Donetsk highway, and for the 36th Combined Arms Army, an assault on Voskresenka from three directions and a further breakthrough towards Novoselivka should be expected. The Operational Grouping seeks to reach the eastern bank of the Vovcha River in the Novoselivka – Iskra sector as quickly as possible. The 5th Combined Arms Army will try to capture Temyrivka and advance towards Komyshuvakha.
The command of "Vostok (East)" Operational Grouping can begin an offensive operation in the western direction through Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts, using highway H15 Kurakhove – Zaporizhzhia, forcing the Khaychur, Solona, Verkhnya Tersa, and Vovcha rivers, crossing highways T0408 Preobrazhenka – Novomykolayivka and T0401 Pokrovsk – Huliaypole, seizing several cities the size of Chasiv Yar, which could become a significant problem for the aggressor.

Humanitarian + general:
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that over the past week, Russian forces used more than 1,000 aerial bombs and almost 1,400 attack drones against Ukraine, while missile strikes also continued.
Since the evening of August 10, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 71 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones. As of 08:00, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 59 enemy UAVs. There were 12 UAV strikes recorded at six locations and debris from downed drones fell at one location.
In the morning, Russian FPV drones attacked Nikopol and the Marhanets community in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, wounding five people: in the Marhanets community, two men were hospitalized, one in serious condition; in Nikopol, two women aged 60 and 64 and a 66-year-old man sustained injuries and are receiving outpatient treatment.
Around 11:20, a Russian drone struck the village of Osokorivka in the Novovorontsovka community, Kherson Oblast, injuring a 69-year-old woman at home with a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to her legs.
On August 11, Russian forces shelled Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast twice with tube artillery, wounding two civilians; shells hit a residential area, damaging the facades of three private houses, breaking windows, and causing wall cracks.
On Monday, August 11, Russian forces attacked a multi-apartment district in Kramatorsk with drones; no casualties were reported.
On the evening of August 9, Russian forces heavily shelled the “Ostriv” neighborhood in Kherson, where civilian evacuation is ongoing; around 23:10, a strike damaged a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross, used for evacuations and humanitarian aid delivery, but volunteers sheltering inside were unharmed.
A 14-year-old girl, whom Russian authorities had planned to send to an orphanage in the Russian Federation, was evacuated to Ukrainian-controlled territory. After her father, a Ukrainian serviceman, was killed, she remained with relatives in the temporarily occupied territory, where Russian child protection authorities openly pressured and threatened to take her away.
