On the Kursk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces conduct counterattacks in certain sectors, aiming to halt or slow down the advance of the enemy’s forward units.
Ukrainian Defense Forces launched an attack from Ryzhivka in Sumy Oblast toward Kursk Oblast. A missile strike hit the command post of the 155th Separate Marines Brigade on the northeastern outskirts of Rylsk.
On the Sumy direction, the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 44th Army Corps, the 200th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 14th Army Corps, the 1443rd and 9th Motorized Rifle Regiments of the 18th Motorized Rifle Division of the 11th Army Corps, the 155th Separate Marines Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, and the 83rd Separate Air Assault Brigade attacked in the directions of Volodymyrivka–Novomykolayivka and Vodolahy–Novomykolayivka, advancing on average 1–1.2 kilometers. Assault units of the 83rd and 11th Air Assault Brigades, as well as forward units of the 51st and 137th Airborne Regiments of the 106th Airborne Division, attacked in the directions Loknia–Yunakivka and Guevo–Sadky, advancing about 700–800 meters on average.
Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted several counterattacks in certain sectors, managing to push enemy forward units north of Yunakivka and south of Oleshnia.
On the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces regained control of the territory of the Aggregate producing plant and part of the adjacent residential block in the northern part of Vovchansk, advancing 300–400 meters.
The enemy carried out localized assault actions in Vovchansk, toward Hlyboke–Lyptsi, and in the area of Starytsia, attempting to advance toward Vovchanski Khutory.
On the Kupyansk direction, the command of the 6th Combined Arms Army is trying at all costs to expand its bridgehead north of Kupyansk, primarily on the flanks. Assault units continued attacking near Stroyivka (where they had earlier penetrated the border zone) and toward Kindrashivka. Currently, the enemy has captured Stroyivka and engaged in fighting to secure a foothold in Kindrashivka. The enemy attacked near Holubivka, Radkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Bohuslavka, Cherneshchyna, Olkhivka, and Hrekivka.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Zapadne, holding positions in southern Kindrashivka and in Radkivka.
On the Lyman direction, fierce battles continue nearly along the entire perimeter of the enemy’s bridgehead on the Chornyi Zherebets River. Assault units of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army, reinforced by units of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army, simultaneously try to push toward the Oskil River, aiming to reach the Pisky-Radkivski–Lozove line, and to outflank Ukrainian Defense Forces holding the Novoyehorivka–Hrekivka line from the south. The enemy attacked near Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, Lypove, Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and the Serebriansk Forest.
Ukrainian Defense Forces are trying to block the enemy penetration in the direction of Nove–Karpivka, counterattacked, and pushed the enemy back up to 500 meters from Karpivka and Torske.
On the Siversk direction, Russian forces attacked near Hryhorivka, Verkhnyokamianske, and Vyimka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, forward units of the 98th Airborne Division, reinforced by parts of the 3rd Combined Arms Army and the so-called “Volunteer Assault Corps,” continued assault actions in the area of Chasiv Yar and toward Stupochky, attempting to secure positions on the eastern bank of the Siverskyi Donets–Donbas canal in the direction of Hryhorivka–Markove. The enemy expanded its control along the canal by 300–400 meters.
The enemy advanced in the industrial zone northeast of Stupochky, attacking near Kurdyumivka, Bila Hora, and Predtechyne.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces advanced northwest of Toretsk and south of Oleksandro-Kalynove but have been unable to secure their positions. The enemy is attempting to advance southwest of Dyliivka, north of Krymske, north of Dachne, northwest of Nova Poltavka, west of Yablunivka, south of the village, west of Popiv Yar, and toward Katerynivka and Petrivka. They attacked near Toretsk, Poltavka, and toward Kleban-Byk.
Forward units of the 20th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army are unsuccessfully trying to break through to the Yablunivka area from the south (from the Zoria–Romanivka line), as well as from the west and southwest, attacking in the directions of Novoolenivka–Yablunivka and Oleksandropil–Yablunivka.
Units of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army are also trying to break through in the Poltavka area and cover their forces that had secured a foothold in the Malynivka area, attacking toward Shevchenkove and Popiv Yar. The enemy managed to advance only south of Popiv Yar with parts of the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment and the 163rd Tank Regiment by about 1.5–1.7 kilometers.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance north of Myrne and Shevchenkove, northwest of Yelyzavetivka and Dachenske, and into the center of Lysivka. They attacked near Malynivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Mykolaivka, Promin, Udachne, and Zvirove.
Attempts to break into the Novoekonomichne area through Myroliubivka and Malynivka were also largely unsuccessful, forcing the enemy to fight for control against Defense Forces units holding their ground. South and southwest of Pokrovsk in the 41st Combined Arms Army’s operational zone, the situation is more tense. South of Kotlyarivka, forward units of the 90th Tank Division reached the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Oblasts, secured positions in Kotlyarivka, having advanced 1.5 kilometers in two days.
Fighting continues with variable success in the Novooleksandrivka–Novomykolayivka direction. The enemy, advancing on both banks of the Solona River, is trying to break through to Novoserhiyivka and secure positions there.
Ukrainian Defense Forces pushed the enemy southeast of Novomykolayivka, although the 27th Motorized Rifle Division and assault units of the 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Combined Arms Army continue attempting to attack both Novomykolayivka and Novoserhiyivka from the south.
On the Novopavlivka direction, units of the 114th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Combined Arms Army and the 36th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Combined Arms Army from the “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping managed to break through to Oleksiivka and capture at least half of the village of Bahatyr. Ukrainian Defense Forces hold parts of Konstyantynopil and Bahatyr and are engaged in fierce battles with the enemy in Oleksiivka and Odradne.
Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully neutralized the immediate threat of a breakthrough near Komar and pushed the enemy back near Fedorivka. Forward elements of the enemy’s 36th Combined Arms Army, which had broken through to Komar earlier, were driven out of Fedorivka itself and pushed over 1 kilometer away from Komar.
The enemy is currently attempting to return to Fedorivka and is advancing along the eastern bank of the Mokri Yaly River from Dniproenerhiya toward the village. At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold Vesele, preserving the ability to counterattack the enemy’s left flank.
The enemy has committed the 40th Separate Marines Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, recently returned from the Kursk direction, and elements of the 36th Combined Arms Army in an attempt to break through toward the Zaporizhzhia–Donetsk highway.
The 5th Combined Arms Army of the enemy’s “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping is unsuccessfully attempting to take control of the Shevchenko–Burlatske–Pryvilne–Vilne Pole area. Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold the Shevchenko–Vilne Pole line, which partially restrains the actions of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division of the 5th Combined Arms Army moving north along the opposite bank of the Mokri Yaly River.
On the Huliaypole direction, the 38th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 1466th Motorized Rifle Regiment attacked near Malynivka in the general direction of Novozlatopil–Malynivka, where the enemy advanced 400 meters.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces are attempting to advance north of Robotyne, attacking near Novoandriivka, Nesteryanka, Stepove, and toward Pavlivka.
General conclusion:
The enemy primarily conducts offensive and assault actions with small forces, tasked with relatively limited tactical objectives.
The enemy command continues to exert significant effort to expand its zone of control in the border area of Sumy Oblast. Most of the “Kursk” Troop Grouping has been deployed to the operation, including some forces and assets that were redeployed from other sectors of the operational zone of the “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping to reinforce this direction.
Russian forces are transferring large amounts of military equipment and ammunition from Crimea and Kherson Oblast to Sumy Oblast, including air defense systems.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces are attempting to bypass Lyman, seize dominant heights in the area, and establish fire control over Ukrainian logistics routes.
On the Toretsk direction (toward Dyliivka and Shcherbynivka), the enemy is trying to improve its positions.
The T0504 highway between Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivka remains the most intense section of the frontline. The enemy is concentrating a large number of forces in this area, attempting to encircle Ukrainian positions east of Pokrovsk and advance toward Kostyantynivka.
The command of the enemy’s “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping is focusing efforts south and southwest of Pokrovsk (adjacent flank with the “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping) and north of Vozdvyzhenka (adjacent flank with the “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping), deploying additional forces and assets: the 1st and 9th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades of the 51st Combined Arms Army have arrived from the Toretsk direction.
For Ukrainian Defense Forces, the situation on the southern flank of the Pokrovsk direction is more difficult than directly near Pokrovsk. If the enemy continues advancing in Oleksiivka, Ukrainian units will have to fully withdraw from the entire area, including Oleksiivka itself, Konstyantynopil, and also Bahatyr.
On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to break through to the immediate approaches of Novodanylivka.
On the Prydniprovske direction (toward Pishchanivka–Prydniprovske), the enemy is attempting to clear the eastern bank of the Dnipro River near the railway bridge.

On the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 18 attacks near Konstyantynopil, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Vilne Pole, Vesele, and in the direction of Shevchenko, Bahatyr, and Zaporizhzhia.
On the Huliaypole direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled three enemy attempts to advance near Malynivka.
On the Orikhiv direction, six enemy attacks were successfully repelled in the areas of Novoandriivka, Stepove, Nesteryanka, and toward Pavlivka.
On the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy made five unsuccessful attempts to advance.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
Mediterranean Sea: 3 ships, including 1 cruise missile carrier; the total salvo is 8 cruise missiles.
Supporting operation:
Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out UAV airstrikes on targets in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan), including the Kazan State Gunpowder Plant.
Flight restrictions were imposed at airports in Saint Petersburg and Nizhnekamsk.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
The 128th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 44th Army Corps operates on the Kharkiv direction.
The 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Tank Army is active in the area of Stroyivka. The 121st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 68th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Combined Arms Army attacks near Kupyansk.
The 1442nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 6th Motorized Rifle Division of the 3rd Army Corps fights for Stupochky.
The 27th BARS Detachment advances in the Kramatorsk–Druzhkivka direction.
The 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army operates north of Dyliivka.
The 103rd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army advances toward Toretsk.
Possible operation situation developments:
The "Kursk" Group of Forces of the enemy’s "Sever (North)" Operational Grouping will attempt to advance toward the Khotin–Khrapivshchyna line.
On the Kupyansk direction, the command of the enemy's "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping will advance with forces of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division from the bridgehead near Nove toward the high ground near the village of Cherneshchyna, and with forces of the 4th Tank Division, which is advancing on converging directions Raihorodka–Cherneshchyna and Pershotravneve–Kopanky, will attempt to encircle a tactical group of the “Khortytsia” Operational-Strategic Grouping (OSG) defending along the Novoyehorivka–Hrekivka line.
On the Lyman direction, the forces of the "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping will advance towards the Karlivka – Shandryholove – Drobysheve line while simultaneously advancing near Torske to approach Lyman from the east. The 25th Combined Arms Army will advance in the Dibrova – Yampil direction and in the area of the Serebriansk Forest in order to break through the communication lines of the "Khortytsia" OSG.
On the Siversk direction, the command of the enemy's "Yug (South)" Operational Grouping will attempt to eliminate the Siversk salient held by "Khortytsia" OSG and break through towards the Sloviansk – Kramatorsk agglomeration. The 3rd Combined Arms Army will try to break through to the northern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River between Yampil and Hryhorivka, and from the southeast – toward Siversk.
On the Toretsk direction, in the near future the enemy will attack Shcherbynivka and Novospaske simultaneously from the south, from the direction of Leonidivka, along both banks of the Kryvyi Torets River.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the command of the enemy’s “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping and the 3rd Army, in particular, may soon change the direction of their main strike and shift it to the north of Chasiv Yar, launching an offensive on both sides of the Bakhmut–Sloviansk road along the Orikhovo-Vasylivka–Minkivka and Blahodatne–Pryvillya directions, which would allow them to break through to the forward approaches of Sloviansk directly from the southeast and create a real threat to the “Siversk” Operational Tactical Grouping (OTG) of Ukrainian Defense Forces by executing a deep flanking maneuver on its right flank. If the enemy manages to achieve operational surprise in these directions and advance to tactical depth, the situation in the Kolodyazi–Hryhorivka sector on the Lyman direction could radically deteriorate for the “Khortytsia” OSG.

Humanitarian + general:
Since the evening of June 9, Russian occupying forces have launched 322 aerial attacks against Ukraine: 315 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones, 2 KN-23 ballistic missiles, and 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles. As of 9:00 AM, Ukrainian air defenses had neutralized 284 of the enemy's aerial weapons. All missiles and 213 enemy UAVs were destroyed, while an additional 64 drones were either lost from radar or suppressed by electronic warfare. Strikes were confirmed in 11 locations, with debris from intercepted projectiles falling in 16 locations.
In the early hours of June 10, Kyiv was subjected to a massive air attack by Russia. Damage was reported in seven districts of the city: around 10 fires broke out, residential buildings were damaged, and four people were injured. One fatality was reported. The enemy used Shahed drones equipped with shrapnel, designed to maximize casualties and damage over a wide area. The fire in the Obolon district of the city was still raging at 11 p.m.
During the night of June 10, Russians struck a maternity hospital, an emergency medical station, and residential buildings in Odesa. No casualties were reported at the maternity hospital, as patients and staff were evacuated in time. However, the strike on a residential building killed two people and injured three others, who were hospitalized. In total, nine people were affected.
On the night of June 10, Kyiv Oblast also came under a large-scale air attack by Russia. The occupying forces used both attack drones and missiles. Destruction was confirmed in four districts of the oblast. A combined enemy strike caused a fire at an industrial facility in Boryspil, which was extinguished by firefighters after covering an area of 2,500 square meters.
Two people were injured in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast as a result of Russian attacks using various types of weapons. Residential buildings, infrastructure, an auto repair shop, and a power line were damaged.
On June 10, the enemy dropped an FAB-500 aerial bomb on the city of Kupiansk. More than 30 private homes were damaged. A 70-year-old man was killed in the strike. Two civilians, aged 68 and 38, were injured.
In the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv Oblast, local authorities have announced a mandatory evacuation from seven settlements due to intensified shelling.
On June 9, Russian forces carried out 27 attacks on populated areas in Donetsk Oblast. As a result of the strikes, three people were killed and eight injured. Shells hit residential buildings, infrastructure, and civilian facilities in the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, and Bakhmut districts.
According to a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), conducted from May 15 to June 3, 2025, 43% of Ukrainians are willing to accept the de facto occupation of certain territories by Russia without legal recognition—provided that Ukraine receives security guarantees. However, if it comes to the official recognition of certain territories as part of Russia, a significant majority (68%) are opposed. Only 24% are willing to accept such recognition, — but this is related to “certain territories,” not all occupied ones; attitudes vary significantly depending on which territories are meant. An overwhelming majority—78%—reject the idea of ceding to Russia any territories currently under Ukrainian control. Only 15% are willing to accept such a scenario.
