In the operational zone of the Ukrainian Operational-Strategic Group of Forces (OSG) "Khortytsia", on the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, and Stelmakhivka. On the Lyman direction, they repelled 11 attacks in the vicinity of Makiivka, Nevske, Novolyubivka, Tverdokhlibove, and Serebriansk Forest. On the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 26 Russian attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Andriivka, Verkhnyokamianske, Novyi, Vyimka, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka.
In the "Tavriya" OSG operational zone on the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 45 enemy attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, Kalynove, Novopokrovske, Semenivka, Umanske, Netaylove, and Nevelske. On the Novopavlivka direction, they continued to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Kostyantynivka, Paraskoviivka, Vodyane, and Urozhaine, where the adversary, supported by aviation, attempted to breach Ukrainian troops' defenses 11 times. On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 19 times in the area of Staromayorske.
In the operational zone of the "Odesa" OSG on the Kherson direction, the enemy remains determined to dislodge the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River and launched 4 unsuccessful attacks.
General conclusion:
Enemy Aerospace Forces concentrate their efforts in the northern part of Kharkiv Oblast, in the Pokrovsk - Avdiivka sector, and in Staromayorske.
The situation on the Kupyansk direction will sharply escalate in the near future.
The enemy is intensively attacking in the area between the railway and the Kupyansk - Svatove highway, gradually advancing towards Stepova Novoselivka, and intensifying efforts towards Synkivka – Petropavlivka, where the 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps has regrouped.
The adversary is gradually gaining ground against the Ukrainian Defense Forces on chosen axes and sectors, while the "Zapad" Operational Grouping’s command is yet to deploy its second echelon and reserves, anticipating a breakthrough of the defense.
On the Lyman direction, the adversary is attempting to completely displace Ukrainian troops westward of the Chornyi Zherebets River and advance on the northern flank of the Siversky salient towards the Siversky Donets River on the widest possible front. To counter this, the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Army has been fully deployed into battle.
The command of the enemy's "South" Operational Grouping in tandem with ongoing offensive maneuvers on the Kramatorsk axis within the Chasiv Yar sector, aims to neutralize the Siversky salient held by Ukrainian Defense Forces, but does so by frontal pressure from the east and southeast, for which it clearly lacks sufficient forces.
In the area of Chasiv Yar, Russian forces increasingly use tanks and armored vehicles with welded metal plates for additional protection ("turtle tanks") and regularly attack at dawn and dusk.
Small Russian assault groups periodically attempt to cross the Siversky Donets-Donbas Canal near Chasiv Yar, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroy or capture them. Overall, Russian forces have a manpower advantage of 10:1in this area.
Russian forces shelled the railway infrastructure in Kherson Oblast, forcing Ukrzaliznytsia to reduce train traffic on the Kyiv-Kherson and Kyiv-Mykolaiv routes.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):
There were 146 combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces have advanced south of Novoselivske and are preparing for further advancement towards Stepova Novoselivka and Ivanivka. The adversary has moved to the outskirts of Berestove and continues attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Pishchane, and Stelmakhivka.
The enemy persists in their offensive actions with the aim of reaching the barrier line along the Oskil River between Kupyansk and Borova. The 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment and designated units of the 25th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade continue to advance slowly northeast and northwest of Synkivka. They managed to advance into the forest north of the village, gaining control over the eastern part lying east of the railway. The 47th Tank Division of the 1st Tank Army seized Kyslivka and Kotlyarivka. Attempts by the 1st and 15th Motorized Rifle Regiments of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division to attack Tabaivka were unsuccessful; the enemy advanced up to 100 meters.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces made slight progress east of Yampolivka and continued attacks near Makiivka, Nevske, Novolyubivka, Bilohorivka, and Serebriansk Forest. Northeast of Nevske, the advanced units of the enemy’s 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Army managed to recapture one platoon-sized strongpoint and several detachment positions, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled attacks near Novosadove. The 164th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, deployed south of Dibrova, has been unable to make any significant progress after initial minor successes.
At present, the enemy has shifted its efforts to the north of the direction towards Terny and Yampolivka, attempting to cut off the northern part of the Defense Forces' foothold between Makiivka and Terny. They are advancing towards Nevske from the northeast (from the direction of Ploshchanka) and towards Novosadove from the southeast.
On the Bakhmut direction, Russian forces stormed positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the areas of Verkhnyokamianske, Vyimka, Spirne, and Rozdolivka.
The enemy continued their offensive actions in the "Novyi" neighborhood, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Shumy, and New York.
Enemy units of the 6th, 7th, and 123rd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades of the 2nd Army Corps once again attacked in the area of Bilohorivka in the direction of Zolotarivka - Verkhnyokamianske, southwest of Spirne, attempting to progress towards Ivano-Dariivka, and along the railway from the southeast towards Vyimka. The 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division persistently attacked towards Rozdolivka, seeking to support the actions of the 119th and 137th Airborne Regiments attempting to break through between Vesely and Rozdolivka.
On the Avdiivka direction, Russian forces advanced approximately 4 kilometers north of Ocheretyne towards the eastern outskirts of Novooleksandrivka, advanced to the windthrow south of Solovyove, captured Novokalynove, further advanced west of Ocheretyne towards Prohres, and up to 1.5 kilometers towards Novopokrovske. The enemy continued their offensive actions in the areas of Oleksandropil, Ocheretyne, Arkhanhelske, Yevhenivka, Sokol, Semenivka, Novoselivka Persha, Umanske, Netaylove, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, and Vodyane.
On the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces are attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses in eastern Krasnohorivka, where they have seized Pershoho Travnya Street. They continued their offensive actions in the areas of Heorhiivka, Kostyantynivka, Novomykhailivka, Pobeda, Paraskoviivka, and Vodyane.
On the Berdyansk direction, Russian forces have advanced along Tsentralna Street in Urozhaine. Units of the 40th Separate Marines Brigade of the Pacific Fleet have advanced 500 meters southwest of Urozhaine. Russian forces have entered Staromayorske.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces have advanced 700 meters from the southeastern outskirts of Robotyne. Positional battles have been ongoing near Robotyne and Verbove.
On the Kherson direction, positional battles continued on the eastern bank of Kherson Oblast, including near Krynky. Russian forces attempted to assault Nestryha Island, utilizing jet skis for the purpose.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
Mediterranean Sea: 3 ships, including 1 “Kalibr” sea launched cruise missile carrier. The total salvo is 8 cruise missiles.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
The 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment of the enemy’s 11th Army Corps of the Baltic Fleet completed regrouping near Synkivka.
Possible operation situation developments:
The enemy's military leadership is gearing up for tactical raids in Kharkiv and Sumy Oblasts. They plan to engage forces from the 11th and 44th Army Corps, and possibly the 138th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 6th Army. Their goal is to distract the Ukrainian Defense Forces command and prevent the use of reserves, especially strategic ones, in more critical areas. By launching a limited offensive in Kharkiv, they aim to threaten a breakthrough towards the city and tie down a significant portion of the Ukrainian Defense Forces there.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are currently unable to halt enemy advancement on the Kupyansk direction. Expect enemy capture of Synkivka soon, along with intense rear-guard actions north of Kupyansk's eastern outskirts, for Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, and Berestove.
The adversary may attempt to bypass Chasiv Yar without directly assaulting the city, by operating from the south and southeast, while simultaneously forming a northern flank for the Toretsk operation.
The "Center" Operational Grouping command is focused on executing the following operational plan: to establish conditions for the blockade and encirclement of the Kurakhove area or to create advantageous circumstances for launching an offensive operation to encircle "Tavriya" OSG’s defense in Toretsk area from the south.
The enemy's "Vostok" Operational Grouping is gearing up for active operations on the southern flank of the Kurakhove-Vuhledar bulge of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in coordination with the left flank of the "Yug" Operational Grouping, which is currently attempting to break through towards Kurakhove through Hryhorivka and Paraskoviivka-Kostyantynivka along the Vovcha and Sukhi Yaly Rivers.
The isolation or complete capture of Kostyantynivka will significantly impair the Defense Forces' ability to maintain the frontline in the southern part of Donetsk Oblast, as it will disrupt the main logistical route along Highway N-20.
