In the operational zone of the Ukrainian Operational-Strategic Group of Forces (OSG) "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, the Russian military made 3 attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Kyslivka, trying to improve its tactical position. On the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 Russian attacks in the area of Terny and Spirne. On the Bakhmut direction, they repelled 9 Russian attacks in the areas of Andriivka and Klishchiivka.
In the "Tavriya" OSG operational zone on the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 15 enemy attacks in the area of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske. On the Novopavlivka direction, they continued holding back the enemy in the areas of Pobieda, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka, where the adversary attempted to breach Ukrainian troops' defenses 22 times. On the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 8 enemy attacks in the areas near Robotyne and west of Verbove.
In the operational zone of the "Odesa" OSG on the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their positions.

On the Lyman direction, positional battles have been ongoing near Yampolivka, Terny, and Bilohorivka. The 123rd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Army Corps of the 8th Army is attempting to advance near Bilohorivka.
On the Bakhmut direction, Russian forces are conducting assault on Ivanivske and attempt to push Ukrainian forces from their positions in the western part of the village. Positional battles persisted in the areas of Rozdolivka, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Pivdenne, and New York. The 200th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Northern Fleet is advancing towards Chasiv Yar.
On the Avdiivka direction, Russian forces have advanced to the windbreaks east of Berdychi and have made progress in the northwest part of Tonenke. The enemy has shifted the direction of its main attack in the Orlivka area from the eastern outskirts to the south.
"Tavria" OSG units continue to hold positions on the western outskirts of Berdychi and Orlivka, counterattacked near Berdychi, and forced the enemy to retreat from its positions near Tonenke.
Positional battles have been ongoing in the areas of Stepove, Semenivka, Orlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske.
On the Novopavlivka direction, "Tavria" OSG units regularly counterattack in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Pobieda. Positional battles have been ongoing near Heorhiivka, where the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Army Corps of the enemy’s 8th Army is attempting to improve its tactical position.
Berdyansk direction: positional battles took place near Vodyane. Units of the 40th Separate Marines Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet are engaged in combat operations in the area of Urozhaine.
Orikhiv direction: Russian forces have captured several positions northwest of Verbove and advanced 1 km deep from Verbove to Robotyne. Positional battles continued near Robotyne and west of Verbove.
Kherson direction: Positional battles have been ongoing near Krynky. Russian forces have established a layered defense on the Kherson direction and continue to mine the left bank.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
Azov Sea: 1 ship.
Mediterranean Sea: 3 ships, including 2 Cruise Missile Carriers. The total salvo is 12 “Kalibr” cruise missiles.

The Joint Grouping of the Russian Armed Forces in the South-Western Theater of Military Operation is comprised of 12 missile divisions, including those from the 448th Missile Brigade of the 20th Army (positioned in Kursk Oblast), the 26th Missile Brigade of the 6th Army (Kursk Oblast), the 119th Missile Brigade of the 41st Army (Voronezh Oblast), the 42nd Missile Brigade of the 2nd Army (Voronezh Oblast), the 1st Missile Brigade of the 49th Army (Rostov Oblast), two divisions from the 112th Missile Brigade of the 1st Tank Army (Voronezh Oblast), the 107th Missile Brigade of the 35th Army (Rostov Oblast), and the full 12th Missile Brigade of the 58th Army (Autonomous Republic of Crimea). Over the next 36 months, Russia intends to capture Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv Oblasts.
The command of the 2nd Army Corps is intensifying the offensive towards Siversk from the direction of Bakhmut.
The adversary's command will commit the 348th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 90th Tank Division in the direction of Berdychi or Novobakhmutivka.
In the near future, the enemy command will attempt to breach the defense of the Ukrainian "Tavriya" OSG on the Pokrovsk direction. They will advance in the area of Kostiantynivka – Chasiv Yar – Toretsk with the aim of capturing Toretsk.
The command of the 58th Army is poised to imminently deploy the 136th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade into the operation northwest of Robotyne, aiming to bypass this defensive node of the Ukrainian OSG "Tavria" from the north and cut off the Robotyne-Novodanylivka road.

According to information provided by the Situation Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Russian forces shelled 9 regions of Ukraine over the past day. A total of 101 towns and villages and 128 infrastructure objects were attacked with various types of weapons. The number of casualties is being updated/clarified.
Overnight on March 9, 2024, the adversary carried out an assault using 15 "Shahed" combat drones. Subsequently, 12 of these "Shahed" drones were successfully neutralized by the Ukrainian Air Defense systems.
In 2024 alone, Ukraine documented 346 cases of toxic chemical substance use by the Russian Federation, equivalent to 6 violations of the Chemical Weapons Convention per day, stated Ambassador of Ukraine to the Netherlands, Oleksandr Karasevych, during his address at the 105th session of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons
Ukrainian law enforcement officials have reported that a Russian assault trooper, Kurashov, has been charged with shooting Ukrainian prisoners of war on January 6th. He is suspected of shooting a Ukrainian military serviceman whom the invaders had taken prisoner during a "meat grinder" assault. Kurashov fired at least three deliberate shots at the captured Ukrainian. Subsequently, he was captured by the Ukrainian military and is currently under investigation for the crime.
The Russian BBC service and the Russian MediaZona publication, jointly with a volunteer team, have identified the names of 46,678 Russian invaders who have died in the war in Ukraine since February 2022.
