On the Kursk direction, the "Siversk" OTG units advanced to the center of Daryino and counterattacked near Novoivanovka and Nikolaevo-Daryino.
Russian forces advanced near Malaya Loknia.
On the Kharkiv direction, the "Kharkiv" OTG units reclaimed previously lost positions along Druzhby Street in the southwestern part of Hlyboke.
Russian forces attacked near Vysoka Yaruha, Hlyboke, and Vovchansk.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance east of Kruhlyakivka, near Kopanky, Zelenyi Hai, and the northeastern approaches to Lozova, but were unsuccessful. The enemy attacked near Synkivka, Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Pershotravneve, Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, and Druzhelyubivka.
Units of the "Khortytsia" OTG liberated Novomlynsk.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces advanced near Makiivka, Terny, in the Serebriansk Forest area, and near Yampolivka, Zarichne, and Torske.
On the Siversk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Bilohorivka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the 98th Airborne Division advanced on the northeastern outskirts of Chasiv Yar, at the refractory materials plant, in the "Novyi" neighborhood, west of Kalynivka, and northeast and southeast of Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces advanced northwest toward Svitla Street in central Toretsk and west near the spoil heaps of the "Tsentralna" mine. They are fighting for control of the mine, the Zabalka area, advancing north of the "Avanhard" stadium, on the northern and southern outskirts of the city, and have entered Leonidivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces captured Novopustynka, advanced toward Novotroitske, Shevchenkove, and south of Pushkyne, and attacked near Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, and Zhovte.
On the Kurakhove direction, the 242nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 20th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army captured Romanivka. Russian forces made slight advances on the southern outskirts of Sontsivka, east of the village, to the northern outskirts of Uspenivka, near Stari Terny, and blocked the H15 Kurakhove–Konstyantynopil highway. They reached Veselyi Hai and attacked Kurakhove, near Zorya, Novodmytrivka, Berestky, Dachne, Dalnie, Yelyzavetivka, Uspenivka, Konstyantynopil, Sukhi Yaly, and Rozlyv. The enemy is attempting to occupy Hannivka, consolidating positions in Konstyantynopil and Sukhi Yaly, and clearing wooded areas near Yelyzavetivka and Sukhi Yaly.
On the Vremivka direction, Russian forces are on the eastern bank of the Mokri Yaly River south of Velyka Novosilka. The 37th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 36th Combined Arms Army captured Blahodatne. The enemy attacked near Velyka Novosilka, Rozdolne, Makarivka, Novodarivka, and Zelenyi Hai.
Ukrainian Defense Forces expelled the enemy from Novyi Komar, with ongoing fighting on its northern outskirts.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attacked near Robotyne and Novodanylivka but made no advances.
General conclusion:
The enemy "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping is leveraging its advantage in manpower during assaults on the Kupyansk direction to compensate for the poor training of its personnel.
Russian forces conduct mortar and artillery fire raids before attacking the positions of Ukrainian Defense Forces near Toretsk.
The enemy "Tsentr (Center)" Operational Grouping on the Pokrovsk direction carries out 40-50 assaults daily with groups of up to 10 personnel, indicating a shift in tactics to avoid excessive losses.
The advance of the enemy "Yug (South)" Operational Grouping in Uspenivka and Hannivka suggests that Russian forces successfully exploited the capture of Dalnie to bypass the eastern section of the Antonivka–Uspenivka–Sukhi Yaly line from the north and flank Ukrainian Defense Forces.

On the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked five times near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Predtechyne.
On the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 6 attacks near Toretsk and Nelipivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 40 enemy attacks near the settlements of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovte, Pushkyne, Novotroitske, Shevchenko, and Novopustynka.
On the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 50 attacks. The enemy focused its main efforts near Berestky, Stari Terny, Zoria, Sontsivka, Kurakhove, Dalnie, Yelyzavetivka, Hannivka, Romanivka, and Uspenivka.
On the Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out 37 assaults near Konstyantynopolske, Rozlyv, Sukhi Yaly, Makarivka, and Novodarivka. The enemy actively employed aviation.
On the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack toward Novodanylivka.
On the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions four times.

Possible operation situation developments:
On the Kupyansk direction, the enemy will try to break through the "Khortytsia" OSG defense near Kruhlyakivka and advance southward toward Bohuslavka and Nova Kruhlyakivka; attack Lozova and move toward Nova Kruhlyakivka; breach the "Khortytsia" OSG defense at Pershotravneve toward Kopanky and Novoserhiyivka, forcing Ukrainian Defense Forces to retreat from positions near Novoyehorivka under the threat of encirclement.
The enemy activity in the Dvorichna area is likely an attempt to distract attention and draw reserves of the "Khortytsia" OSG’s Kupyansk group to a secondary section ahead of the start of the next phase of the offensive by the 1st Tank Army of the enemy's "Zapad (West)" Operational Grouping on Kupyansk itself. The enemy is attempting to establish a threatening bridgehead, forcing the "Khortytsia" OSG command to allocate resources to eliminate it. Simultaneously, the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division, 4th and 47th Tank Divisions of the 1st Tank Army may launch an offensive from the east, southeast, and south toward Kupyansk, supported by the 25th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 11th Army Corps from positions in Synkivka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, if the enemy manages to advance to the Chervone–Stupochky line and simultaneously begins intensive northward attacks at the junction of its 41st and 51st Armies from the Novooleksandrivka–Arkhanhelske line, reaching the Yablunivka–Oleksandro-Kalynove line on the Toretsk direction, then the "Khortytsia" OSG will be forced to withdraw towards Kostyantynivka. The operational situation is deteriorating, and if it develops negatively, with the loss of the refractory materials plant in Chasiv Yar, it will be lost by the end of December.
The enemy will continue advancing westward along the H15 highway toward Andriivka while simultaneously attacking the Defense Forces' bridgehead northeast of Vuhledar along the Uspenivka–Hannivka–Romanivka line, aiming to force "Tavriya" OSG units to withdraw westward under the threat of encirclement. Such a maneuver could allow Russian forces to seize advantageous tactical positions in this area and align the frontline from Sontsivka to Konstyantynopil, positioning Russian troops approximately 23 km east of the Donetsk–Dnipropetrovsk Oblast border.
By the end of the current year, the enemy will not succeed in seizing the "belt of fortresses" Kostyantynivka – Druzhkivka – Kramatorsk – Sloviansk or occupying Donetsk Oblast. The upcoming battle for Pokrovsk will mark the apex of the enemy’s offensive operation in the Southwestern Theater of Operations in 2024.
The expected sequence of enemy actions for capturing Pokrovsk is as follows: first, the 90th Tank Division of the 41st Combined Arms Army and the 27th Motorized Rifle Division of the 2nd Combined Arms Army will break through to the area south of Pokrovsk. Afterward, the main forces of the 2nd and 41st Combined Arms Armies will advance from the direction of Mykolaivka toward Myrnohrad (via Promin). Another possible maneuver could involve an advance from Hrodivka toward Novoekonomichne, with attempts to break through along the railway directly to Pokrovsk from the direction of Novohrodivka.
The Russian military command is likely to attempt to envelope or bypass Velyka Novosilka and cut off the T0518 highway, creating favorable conditions for further advances toward the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast to envelope Ukrainian Defense Forces in the southwestern part of the Donetsk Oblast. Russian forces may also try to advance toward Andriivka from the south, facilitated by cutting off the T0518 highway.
The enemy's military command in the theater of operations until March 2025 will be creating conditions to achieve the military-political goal of the Special Military Operation: reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts and the junction of Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk Oblasts near the village of Temyrivka.

Humanitarian + general:
On the night of December 6, 2024 (starting at 8:00 PM on December 5), Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 53 Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of other types. Thirty-two drones were destroyed, 16 were lost to location tracking, and two flew toward Belarus.
During the night, Ukrainian defense forces destroyed over a dozen Russian UAVs threatening Kyiv. In one district, debris from a UAV was recorded falling. The air raid alert in the city was declared twice and lasted a total of four hours.
On December 6, 2024, in Antonivka, Kherson Oblast, Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone onto an ambulance, injuring two medical workers. In the Bilozerka community, explosives dropped from a drone onto a civilian car injured five people. Additionally, in the morning, a 46-year-old man was injured by a drone-dropped explosive in Antonivka.
Around 4:30 PM, the Russian army launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, damaging an administrative building. Two people were killed, 16 injured (including one child), and one person is likely trapped under the rubble.
In the evening of December 6, the Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia, injuring 17 people and killing nine. Some communities are experiencing power outages.
Throughout the day, Russian forces attacked the Nikopol District of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with drones and artillery, injuring two men.
Mandatory evacuation continues in Donetsk Oblast, where approximately 318,000 civilians remain.
Three operational nuclear power plants in Ukraine have largely restored electricity production after sharply reducing output last week due to new attacks on the energy sector by Russia. The Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and South Ukraine NPPs have nine reactors, of which eight are currently operational, while one is in shutdown mode. However, some external power transmission lines used by the plants to receive and transmit electricity remain disconnected.
