In the operational zone of the Ukrainian Operational-Strategic Group of Forces (OSG) "Khortytsia" on the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 4 Russian attacks in the area of Terny and Yampolivka, where the enemy tried to breach Ukrainian defenses. On the Bakhmut direction, they repelled 30 Russian attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnyokamianka, Spirne, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, attempted to improve their tactical position.
In the "Tavriya" OSG operational zone on the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 2 enemy attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske, where the enemy tried to dislodge Ukrainian Defense Forces from their positions. On the Novopavlivka direction, they continued holding back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Novomykhailivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Urozhaine, where the adversary, supported by aviation, attempted to breach Ukrainian troops' defenses over 20 times. On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 4 times in the area of Staromayorske and northwest of Verbove.
In the operational zone of the "Odesa" OSG on the Kherson direction, the enemy remains determined to dislodge the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro and attacked their positions 5 times over the past day.
General conclusion:
Russian forces increase the pace and scale of their attacks across eastern Ukraine and intensify the overall pace of their offensive operations in Ukraine, concentrating their efforts on the Avdiivka, Bakhmut, and Lyman directions.
Well-organized UAV reconnaissance by the Ukrainian Defense Forces significantly complicates the enemy's offensive operations on the Lyman direction.
Russian forces are attempting to advance near Avdiivka as long as the ground conditions allow.
Urban combat operations may soon begin in Chasiv Yar.
If the "Tavria" OSG command fails to rectify the information exchange issue and enhance coordination between units, Robotyne will likely be lost in the near future.
Russian forces are increasingly employing complex combined strikes involving cruise missiles and "Shahed" UAVs against Ukrainian energy infrastructure objects, with the proportion of strike UAVs rising recently.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):
There were 57 combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Kupyansk direction, positional battles continued near Andriivka.
On the Lyman direction, positional battles were ongoing near Yampolivka, Terny, and Bilohorivka. Russian forces entered Terny, and battles continued on the southeastern outskirts of the village.
On the Bakhmut direction, a reinforced enemy company from the 98th Airborne Division attacked Chasiv Yar along the T0506 Khromove-Chasiv Yar highway in the direction of the eastern outskirts of the Kanal city district, where they were stopped by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The enemy, however, has managed to infiltrate the private residential area and is consolidating its position there. The enemy has been completely driven out of the apartment blocks area. The aggressor has a significant personnel advantage in the Chasiv Yar area. Russian forces have advanced north of Vesele and northwest of Berestove, seizing a significant part of Ivanivske. The enemy does not control the southwestern and northwestern parts of Ivanivske. Positional battles were ongoing in the areas of Verkhnyokamianske, Vyimka, Spirne, Bohdanivka, Stupochky, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka.
On the Avdiivka direction, Russian forces have advanced up to 830 meters southeast of Umanske and up to 600 meters deep near Semenivka. The enemy controls up to 25% of Semenivka. A battalion from the 228 Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 90th Tank Division attacked Tonenke, but the assault was repelled. The enemy has been dislodged from several positions near Nevelske.
“Tavriya” OSG units partially withdrew from Berdychi, Semenivka, and Pervomaiske and conducted several counterattacks near Tonenke, Umanske, Vodyane, and Pervomaiske. Positional battles took place near Yasnobrodivka and Nevelske.
On the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces have advanced southeast of Krasnohorivka, seizing most of Novomykhailivka. “Tavriya” OSG units, however, maintain positions on the western outskirts of the village, although the tactical situation overall is becoming more complicated.
Positional battles were ongoing near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vodyane.
Berdyansk direction: Positional battles are ongoing in the vicinity of Staromayorske and Urozhaine. If the current dynamics in the fighting around Staromayorske persist and the adversary manages to displace units of the "Tavriya" OSG from the elevated position near the village, retaining control over the village will become extremely costly.
Orikhiv direction: Russian forces have advanced up to 500 meters near Robotyne and Verbove. Positional battles were ongoing near Robotyne and northwest of Verbove.
Kherson direction: positional battles were ongoing near Krynky, where Ukrainian Defense Forces units maintained their positions. A larger number of small Russian infantry groups attacked Ukrainian positions on the left bank from various directions, attempting to disperse Ukrainian defense efforts in this area. Over the past two days, the enemy has significantly intensified shelling of Ukrainian positions on the eastern bank of Kherson Oblast.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consisted of:
Mediterranean Sea: 1 “Kalibr” cruise missile carrier. The total salvo is 8 cruise missiles.
Changes in the enemy disposition: not detected
Possible operation situation developments:
The likely operational-strategic objectives of the Russian troop grouping in the theater of military operations could include the seizure of the Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts within their administrative borders.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces will make efforts to stabilize the front line and ensure an operational pause for 3-4 months to rearm and replenish personnel to a minimum of 150-200 thousand servicemen.
The enemy command will endeavor to cut off the Nevske-Torske road along the left bank of the Chornyi Zherebets River from north to south in the area of Terny and will attempt to eliminate the southern part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ foothold on the Chornyi Zherebets River.
