Operational situation
On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attempted to advance toward the western outskirts of Kindrativka, attacked near Andriivka. The 1st Consolidated Rifle Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces continues to defend in the area of Bezsalivka.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Stepne and Varachyne.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces advanced north of Ambarne, attempted to push forward between Odradne and Bolohivka, attacked toward Lyptsi, near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Synelnykove, Khatnie, and in the direction of Dvorichanske. Due to supply issues, the 1009th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Combined Arms Army has no water, and there is not evacuation of the dead.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance into the center of Petropavlivka, toward Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, in the direction of Novoplatonivka, attacked near Kupyansk, Kamyanka, toward Kolodyazne, near Petropavlivka, Pishchane, in the direction of Novoosynove.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked in the “Yuvileinyi” district, in other areas of Kupyansk, near Osynove, Velyka Shapkivka, toward Myrova and Holubivka.
On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces advanced in the northeastern part of Yampolivka.
Russian forces attempted to advance between Yampil and Lyman, attacked toward Lyman, near Derylove, Korovyi Yar, Karpivka, Stavky, Maslyakivka, Torske.
On the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces attacked near Dronivka, Serebrianka, Vyimka, Pereyizne, Fedorivka.
On the Kostyantynivka direction, the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army captured the territory of the “St. Matrona of Moscow” coalmine southeast of Kostyantynivka. Russian forces attacked near Kostyantynivka, Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, Shcherbynivka, Nelipivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Toretsk, toward Berestok, near Rusyn Yar, close to Sofiivka. The enemy is unable to gain a foothold on the achieved lines due to Ukrainian fire control over its logistics routes.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces advanced in the northeast of Pokrovsk and northeast of Kotlyne, continued offensive actions near Shakhove, Zaporizhzhia, but did not advance. The enemy attacked near Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Krasnyi Lyman, Mykolaivka, Novoekonomichne, Myrnohrad, Kozatske, Lysivka, Udachne, Sukhy Yar, Novoukrainka, Zvirove, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Molodetske. The enemy controls approximately 60% of Pokrovsk, has entered Rodynske and Myrnohrad.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattack near Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Sukhetske, hold positions and have advanced in the center of Rodynske.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked near Sichneve, Sosnivka, Vorone, Ternove, Stepove, toward Orestopil, near Oleksiivka, Danylivka, Vyshneve and Verbove.
On the Huliaypole direction, Russian forces attacked near Krasnohorske, toward Rybne, near Pavlivka, Novomykolayivka, toward Nove, near Zelenyi Hai.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attacked near Kamianske, Stepnohirsk, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, and continue using the tactic of infiltration by small groups.
General conclusion:
Russian forces have significantly reduced combat activity on the Kostyantynivka direction and may have redeployed part of their troops from this direction to Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. The occupiers have returned to the tactic of small-unit infiltration after suffering heavy losses in assault operations.
Russian forces are intensifying offensive actions in and around Pokrovsk, advancing in the central and southeastern parts of the city and tactically isolating several Ukrainian positions. Logistics of Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk direction is difficult, but the occupiers have not cut supply routes, although Russian forces almost entirely keep UAV fire control over the routes to Myrnohrad.
Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a successful air assault operation near Pokrovsk. Special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate landed from UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters west of Pokrovsk and entered areas of the city to clear them of enemy assault groups. These areas are critically important for Ukrainian logistics on the Pokrovsk direction.
Close combat, urban environment, and weather conditions affect UAV use by both sides. Mortar crews and Defense Forces UAV operators are priority targets for enemy assault groups infiltrating the rear of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of Ukrainian Defense Forces. The constant threat of enemy penetration into Pokrovsk forces Defense Forces UAV crews to deploy farther from the line of contact, complicating strikes on Russian troops on the outskirts of Pokrovsk. The struggle for control of high-rise buildings continues.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):
There were 143 combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, 5 combat engagements took place.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian Defense Forces 9 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Kamyanka, and toward Kolodyazne and Dvorichanske.
On the Kupyansk direction, 3 combat engagements took place. Enemy assault actions near Pishchane were stopped.
On the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 5 times, attempting to break through the Ukrainian defense in the areas of Korovyi Yar, Zarichne, Stavky, and in the direction of Lyman.
On the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 5 enemy attacks in the areas of Yampil, Dronivka, Serebrianka, Pereyizne, Fedorivka, and Hryhorivka.
On the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 19 attacks in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and in the direction of Kostyantynivka and Berestok.

Supporting operation:
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry disabled the strategic oil product pipeline “Koltsevoy” in the Ramenskyi district of Moscow Oblast.
UAV airstrikes by the Unmanned Systems Forces hit power substations in Alchevsk, Luhansk Oblast; Zheleznogorsk, Kursk Oblast; Usman, Lipetsk Oblast; and the deep-water berthing complex of LLC “RN-Tuapse Marine Terminal” of the Tuapse Oil Refinery.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
The 68th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the 20th Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Combined Arms Army strikes Ukrainian transport vehicles near Kramatorsk; the 238th Artillery Brigade of the same army fights near Torske.
The 56th Separate SOF Battalion and the 9th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Combined Arms Army strike Ukrainian forces near Rodynske and Vasylivka; the 30th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Combined Arms Army operates near Pokrovsk; the 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Combined Arms Army is engaged in the northern, eastern and southeastern parts of Myrnohrad.
The 1455th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army operates near Orikhove; the 74th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 4th Military Base is active near Svoboda.
Possible operation situation developments:
According to the assessment of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the enemy will not be able to achieve one of its strategic goals and capture the entire Donetsk Oblast by the end of 2025. Provided current dynamics of combat operations are maintained, the enemy will be able to capture Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka, and Kupyansk no earlier than the end of the year and reach the close approaches to Zaporizhzhia and the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration by early winter.
On the Kupyansk direction, the forward units of the 6th Combined Arms Army will try to bypass Kupyansk as deeply as possible in the general direction of the Chuhuiv – Kupyansk highway and take control of the Mala Shapkivka – Velyka Shapkivka – Kindrashivka – Tyshchenkivka area. Holding the Petropavlivka – Pishchane – Kolisnykivka – Kivsharivka area by the 10th Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces depends on the outcome of the battles in the Kupyansk area, therefore even the loss of Kupyansk will not lead to the loss of logistics for the tactical group of Ukrainian Defense Forces operating east of the Oskil River.
On the Lyman direction, troops of the enemy’s “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping will push into the area of Yarova – Novoselivka – Drobysheve – Pryshyb and will try to block Lyman from the northwest, cutting all main routes that do not cross the Siverskyi Donets River and reach the river on the widest possible front. The 11th Army Corps will concentrate on holding the Novoselivka – Stavky line.
Russian forces will attack in the directions of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka and Druzhkivka, attempting to cut the H20 highway between Kostyantynivka and Sloviansk and to complicate the logistics of the 19th Army Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces in Kostyantynivka. The “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping will conduct concentric strikes simultaneously from the directions of Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, and the Kleban-Byk Reservoir, as well as from the Poltavka–Novoolenivka line.
In the Dobropillya area, troops of the 51st Combined Arms Army will try to completely push Ukrainian Defense Forces out of the Sofiivka – Volodymyrivka – Pankivka – Shakhove area. The command of the “Tsentr (Center)” Operational Grouping will attempt to envelop the Pokrovsk defense area of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the flanks, break through on the left flank of the 2nd Combined Arms Army to the road to Pavlohrad and in the center of the 51st Combined Arms Army’s offensive strip to the area north of Pokrovsk. The enemy’s 51st Combined Arms Army will hold a part of the bridgehead in the area of Krasnyi Lyman and Rodynske at any price, as this has a direct bearing on the situation on the Pokrovsk direction. The enemy attempts to attack towards the intersection with the road to Hryshyne and towards Myrnohrad. The 51st Combined Arms Army will clearly try to hold the Nykanorivka – Pankivka line, while the enemy’s marine formations continue to press on Shakhove and Sofiivka.
The forward units of the enemy’s 2nd Combined Arms Army will attempt to advance from the Pokrovsk industrial zone in a north-eastern direction toward Rodynske and the T-shaped intersection of roads to Dobropillya and Hryshyne to encircle elements of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of Ukrainian Defense Forces in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. If the enemy’s 2nd Combined Arms Army continues to advance to the north and north-east, the entire Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad defensive area will be captured by the enemy.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping will concentrate its main efforts in the offensive sectors of the 5th and 36th Combined Arms Armies, attempting to flank the 17th Army Corps’ Huliaypole defense area of Ukrainian Defense Forces. The enemy, with forces from the 127th Motorized Rifle Division of the 5th Combined Arms Army and the 57th, 60th, 37th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades, the 5th Separate Tank Brigade, and the 69th Separate Cover Brigade of the 35th Combined Arms Army on the Oleksandrohrad – Verbove sector, will attempt to break through to the Pokrovske – Kolomiytsi – Novooleksandrivka – Vidradne area and cut the T0401 Pokrovske – Huliaypole highway. With part of its forces, the aggressor will advance in the Novoivanivka – Uspenivka direction.
On the Orikhiv direction, the “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will continue a local offensive operation, attempting to break through along the left bank of the Dnipro River from the Plavni – Kamianske line toward Stepnohirsk and from the Stepove – Mali Shcherbaky line in the northern direction.
On the Prydniprovske direction, the command of the enemy’s “Dnepr” Operational Grouping will continue trying to take control of most of the island zone in the Dnipro delta in the direction of Kherson, will try to create a tactical bridgehead on the right bank, and to eliminate the tactical bridgeheads of the 30th Marine Corps of Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of the automobile and railway bridges near Antonivka.

Humanitarian + general:
The Russian Federation has used more than 70 missiles, almost 1,500 attack drones, and 1,170 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine over the past week, President Zelensky said.
On the night of November 2, the enemy attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 79 UAVs. The Air Force recorded the downing and suppression of 67 of them. One ballistic missile and 12 attack UAVs hit six locations, and debris fell in two locations. As of the morning, the attack continued.
On the evening of November 1, Russian forces attacked the Samarivskyi district of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast — two people were killed, 7 injured; also in the Nikopol area, as a result of enemy attacks, a man was killed and two more people were wounded. Later, in the Samarivskyi district, the bodies of two more children were found under the rubble.
On Saturday evening and during the night into Sunday, the Russian army carried out a series of attacks on towns and villages in the Chernihiv Oblast. Around 20:00 on Saturday, two strikes were recorded on an agricultural enterprise of the Menska community in the Koriukivka district. Preliminary reports indicate that the strike was carried out with ballistic missiles. Later, Russian forces attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi — the city suffered two strikes from Geran-2 type UAVs. The drones hit a residential area, damaging several houses to varying degrees. Preliminary reports indicated that there were no casualties.
During the night of November 2, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia. Two people were injured, the residential sector was damaged, and almost 58,000 customers were left without power.
Around 5:30 a.m., the Russian army shelled the Dnipro district of Kherson. A 62-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the head. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition. In total, during the day, 7 people were injured in Kherson due to artillery shelling and drone attacks.
During the night of November 2, the enemy attacked civilian infrastructure in the Odesa Oblast using UAVs, resulting in damage to civilian facilities and the burning of five trucks. Two people were killed in the strike and two were injured, one of whom was hospitalized.
Between 11:00 and 12:00, emergency power outages began in the national power grid in the Donetsk Oblast due to enemy strikes on infrastructure. The entire region is without electricity. Russian attacks on energy facilities also cut power to part of the consumers in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv Oblasts.
Around 13:00, an enemy FPV drone attacked the village of Pidlyman in the Borivska community of the Kharkiv Oblast. As a result of the strike on a civilian car, three civilians from the same family — a retired couple and their son — were seriously injured. All victims were hospitalized. The woman’s condition is especially critical, doctors are fighting for the lives of all the wounded.
Due to an enemy UAV attack in Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a 55-year-old man was killed; during the day, three civilians were also injured, including an 8-year-old girl. Fires broke out in the city. An apartment building, cars, a metal canopy, and a private enterprise were damaged.
According to the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, the enemy is increasing the number of strikes with various weapons on Ukraine’s border areas within the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv Oblasts. Recently, the number of attacks on the Chernihiv Oblast has significantly increased; previously, most attacks targeted the Sumy and Kharkiv Oblasts. This year, the Russians have significantly intensified the use of drones — in particular, using UAVs to drop munitions, fiber-optic drones, and FPV drones.
