Operational situation
On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, fighting continued in Kursk Oblast. Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked in the directions of Tetkino and Glushkovo, and counterattacked near Yablunivka, Oleksiivka, Andriivka, Sadky, and Yunakivka.
Russian troops attacked near Yunakivka and launched artillery strikes on Pishchane (north of the city of Sumy), near Kulbaky (north of the international border, approximately 25 km north of Pishchane), near Gornal and Guevo.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces advanced west and northwest of Ivanivka, attempted to advance in Vovchansk, toward Vovchanski Khutory, and attacked near Hlyboke, Kupyansk, Petro-Ivanivka, Petropavlivka, and toward Pishchane.
On the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops continued assaults near Nadiia, Kopanky, Novovodyane, Hrekivka, and in the direction of Olkhivka and Novoserhiyivka.
On the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked near Ridkodub, Torske, in the direction of Shandryholove, Serednie, Novyi Myr, and in the area of the Serebriansk forest.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked in Ridkodub and are trying to expel Russian forces from the village.
On the Siversk direction, Russian troops attacked near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and Vyiimka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops attempted to advance east of Bila Hora and attacked near Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, and Stupochky.
Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Stupochky and in Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian troops attempted to advance northeast of Dyliivka and continued assaults near Toretsk, Dachne, Yablunivka, and Rusyn Yar.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces fought for Novoukrainka, attempted to advance southwest of Myroliubivka, northwest and west of Hrodivka, northeast and west of Mykolaivka, northeast of Shevchenkove, northeast of Pishchane, and continued assaults near Malynivka, Myrne, toward Razyne, Novotoretske, Volodymyrivka, near Promin, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, and Udachne.
On the Novopavlivka direction, the 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Combined Arms Army captured Novomykolayivka, and the 57th and 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades of the 5th Combined Arms Army are attempting to advance northwest of Shevchenkove. Russian troops attempted to advance west of Kotlyarivka, west and south of Orikhove, near Hrushivske, toward Piddubne, south of Zoria, west and northwest of Komar, west of Fedorivka, southeast of Voskresenka, and continued assaults on Novopavlivka, near Novoserhiyivka, Muravka, Kotlyarivka, Oleksiivka, Bahatyr, Piddubne, Zaporizhzhia, Perebudova, Vesele, Myrne, Novopil, and Rivnopil.
On the Huliaypole direction, Russian forces advanced in the center of Malynivka.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops advanced in the eastern part of Kamyanske, attempted to advance southwest of Mala Tokmachka, in the north of Kamyanske, west of Stepove, and attacked near Kamyanske.

General conclusion:
The number of Russian attacks in the direction of Sumy has decreased. The enemy has a significant manpower advantage in this area and is deploying reserves to compensate for daily losses of 300 to 400 personnel.
Russian forces are amassing between the Oskil and Zherebets rivers on the Lyman direction.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces concentrate their attacks near the T0504 Pokrovsk–Kostyantynivka highway. The Russian military command has redeployed substantial reinforcements to this area. The enemy targets Ukrainian Defense Forces’ logistics routes on the Pokrovsk direction and used tear gas munitions. The enemy is concentrating near Kurakhove and Selydove.
Russian forces have not captured any territory in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, but fighting continues near the administrative border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
Russian forces have not captured Malynivka, and positions constantly change hands.
Russian forces cannot conduct motorcycle assaults near Kamyanske, as the village is located on high ground and the terrain is marshy.
Change in the line of contact (LoC):
There were 146 combat engagements on various fronts.
On the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 17 Russian attacks. The enemy carried out 18 airstrikes.
On the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted 10 times to break through Ukrainian defensive lines in the area of Vovchansk, Zelene, Hlyboke, Vovchanski Khutory, Krasne Pershe, Dovhenke, and toward Petro-Ivanivka.
On the Kupyansk direction, there were 4 attacks by the invaders. Assault actions by the enemy were repelled in the areas of Holubivka, Pishchane, and toward Novoosynove.
On the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 19 times, attempting to penetrate the defense near the settlements of Bilohorivka, Kolodyazi, Novyi Myr, Novovodyane, Ridkodub, Torske, and in the directions of Serednie, Shandryholove, and Olhivka.
On the Siversk direction, 4 enemy attacks were successfully repelled in the area of Hryhorivka and toward Zvanivka.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked 6 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, and toward Bila Hora.
On the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 6 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Yablunivka.
On the Pokrovsk direction, 41 enemy assault actions were stopped in the areas of Rusyn Yar, Razyne, Novotoretske, Myrne, Promin, Novoserhiyivka, Volodymyrivka, Myroliubivka, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Udachne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and Orikhove.
On the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out 21 attacks in the areas of Zaporizhzhia, Komar, Perebudova, Piddubne, Fedorivka, Shevchenko, and Novopil.
On the Huliaypole direction, 2 enemy attacks were repelled toward Malynivka.
On the Orikhiv direction, occupation forces launched one assault on the Defense Forces’ positions near Kamyanske.
On the Prydniprovske direction, one enemy attack was successfully repelled.
In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
Mediterranean Sea: 2 ships, including 0 cruise missile carriers; the total salvo is 0 cruise missiles.
Supporting operation:
Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a UAV airstrike on an oil depot in Luhansk, the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals (UAV production) in Donetsk, and military facilities in Taganrog, Novoshakhtinsk, Millerovsky, Myasnikovsky, Aksaysky, Neklinovsky, and Matveyevo-Kurgansky districts of Rostov Oblast, Russian Federation.
Airstrikes with Storm Shadow missiles were launched on military facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the Kapustin Yar missile test range in Astrakhan Oblast. The command post of the 8th Combined Arms Army in Donetsk was hit.
Changes in the enemy disposition:
The 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army unsuccessfully attacks in the direction of Druzhelyubivka. The 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Combined Arms Army and the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 1st Tank Army attack toward Karpivka and in Ridkodub.
The 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army operates near Bila Hora.
The 336th Separate Marines Brigade and the 14th Separate SOF Brigade are active near Myrne.
The 108th and 247th Air Assault Regiments of the 7th Air Assault Division operate in Kamyanske, while the 629th Separate Engineer Battalion of the 7th Air Assault Division is active in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, and the 70th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army is deployed in Mala Tokmachka.
Possible operation situation developments:
On the Northern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy’s “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping is trying to reach the Mala Korchakivka – Nova Sich – Maryinka – Sadky line in the near future.
On the Kupyansk direction, in the near future, the command of the Russian “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping will likely attempt to build on its recent tactical success and try to seize the area of Mala Shapkivka – Kindrashivka – Tyshchenivka – Velyka Shapkivka, and break through directly to the northern outskirts of Kupyansk, in the area of Moskovka. The enemy will also likely attempt an attack from Holubivka toward Radkivka, aiming to capture the latter.
On the Lyman direction, the forces of the Russian “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping will likely attempt to reach the line of Karlivka – Shandryholove – Drobysheve, while simultaneously advancing near Torske in an effort to enter Lyman from the east. The command of the 25th Combined Arms Army has not achieved significant results in this direction, but it is not excluded that the “Starobilsk” Operational-Tactical Group (OTG) will be forced to withdraw from the area of Kopani – Novoyehorivka – Druzhelyubivka – Cherneshchyna, in response to the enemy’s advance along the southern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River in the direction of Bilohorivka – Serebrianka, within the operational zone of the neighboring 3rd Combined Arms Army of the “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping.
On the Siversk direction, the command of the enemy's "Yug (South)" Operational Grouping will attempt to eliminate the Siversk salient held by "Khortytsia" OSG and break through towards the Sloviansk – Kramatorsk agglomeration. The 3rd Combined Arms Army will try to break through to the northern bank of the Siverskyi Donets River between Yampil and Hryhorivka, and from the southeast – toward Siversk.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the command of the enemy’s “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping and the 3rd Army may shift the direction of their main strike to the north of Chasiv Yar and launch an offensive on both sides of the Bakhmut–Sloviansk road, along the directions of Orikhovo-Vasylivka–Minkivka and Blahodatne–Pryvillya. This would allow them to break through to the immediate approaches to Sloviansk directly from the southeast and create a real threat of a deep envelopment of the right flank of the “Starobilsk” Operational Tactical Group (OTG). If the enemy succeeds in achieving operational surprise along these directions and advances to tactical depth, the situation in the Kolodyazi–Hryhorivka section on the Lyman direction will deteriorate significantly for the “Kharkiv” OTG.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces will have to withdraw from a fairly large area on both banks of the Vovcha River and fall back to the Novopavlivka–Piddubne line.

Humanitarian + general:
According to the Air Force, during June, Ukraine’s air defense destroyed 4,758 aerial targets launched at Ukraine by the aggressor state Russia, including eight Kinzhal missiles.
On the evening of June 30, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 52 Shahed-type strike UAVs and decoy drones of various types. As of 9:00 a.m., air defense had neutralized 47 enemy UAVs: 14 were shot down by firepower, 33 were geolocated and suppressed by electronic warfare. Hits were recorded in three locations, and debris from a downed drone fell in another.
Overnight on July 1, Russian forces carried out four strikes on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out at an enterprise and private homes were damaged. Two people were injured in a Russian attack in Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
During the night of July 1, Russian occupiers attacked Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with drones — they struck farms in the Pokrovska and Velykomykhailivska communities. Both farms caught fire. Vehicles and agricultural machinery were damaged or destroyed. No people were harmed.
On the morning of July 1, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on Kamianske district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, causing a fire. There are dead and injured.
One person was killed and another injured as a result of a Russian artillery strike on the Kutsurubka community in Mykolaiv Oblast on the morning of July 1.
Russian forces struck the Stepnohirsk community in Zaporizhzhia Oblast using artillery and FPV drones, injuring two energy workers from a repair crew. The attack was aimed at destroying infrastructure in the frontline community: a repair service vehicle and a high-voltage power line were damaged. As a result, the Stepnohirsk community was left without electricity, internet, or mobile service.
In Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, during the evacuation of seriously wounded individuals, the "White Angel" crew came under attack from Russian drones: a police officer was wounded, and the civilian being evacuated bled to death and did not survive.
On July 1 at 9:15 a.m., the enemy launched a missile strike on the settlement of Huliaipole in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Two ballistic missiles, likely of the Iskander-M type, were used. The strike caused casualties and fatalities among the local population. The Russian shelling destroyed a cultural center, two shops, and damaged private homes. Colonel Zakharevych, commander of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, was killed, along with other members of the brigade.
On July 1, for an hour, the occupiers shelled Kostyantynivka with tube artillery. Enemy fire targeted apartment buildings and private homes — three civilians were wounded.
During the day, Russians shelled a border village of the Semenivka community. Several FPV drones struck an ordinary yard. As a result of the strike, a 76-year-old civilian man, a local resident, was injured.
Russian soldiers likely executed a Ukrainian prisoner of war: a video circulating on social media shows a person tied to a motorcycle and dragged along a road, according to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.
The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don (Russian Federation) sentenced captured Azov Brigade fighter Dmytro Shanaiev to 20 years in a high-security penal colony.
